    Abstract: A carbon dioxide recovery system includes: a regeneration tower that releases carbon dioxide from an absorption liquid that has absorbed the carbon dioxide; a reboiler that heats the absorption liquid by exchanging heat between the absorption liquid in the regeneration tower and reboiler steam; a reclaimer that heats the absorption liquid by exchanging heat between the absorption liquid supplied from the regeneration tower and reclaimer steam to generate absorption liquid steam, which is steam of the absorption liquid; an absorption liquid steam line for supplying the absorption liquid steam generated by the reclaimer to the regeneration tower; and a first compressor that compresses the reclaimer steam before supplying the reclaimer steam to the reclaimer. The first compressor compresses steam supplied from a steam supply source to the carbon dioxide recovery system.
