The acceptance unit accepts an operation performed by the user for selecting a process. The manager manages plural resources of the processing apparatus so as to reserve, upon detection of the user by the detector, the plural resources and to release, upon acceptance of the operation by the acceptance unit, a resource among the plural resources that is not necessary for the process selected in the operation.

Abstract: An accounting apparatus including a processor that performs a color correction process and a printing process, a judgment unit that makes a judgment as to whether print data instructed to be printed has already been printed or not, and an accounting unit that accounts for the color correction process of the print data based on a result of the judgment. Preferably, the color correction accounting process accounts for the color correction process, and the print accounting process accounts for a print process of the print data subjected to the color correction process.

Abstract: A client PC transmits a print job and drawing data. An image processing server transmits processing content information indicating the print job to a charging server. The charging server calculates a fee for a case where the process is completed normally, and then registers this calculated fee as a provisional accounting amount. The image processing server processes the drawing data to cause a printer to print the processed drawing data. When the printing fails, the image processing server outputs status information indicating this failure of the printing to the charging server. Upon receipt of this status information, the charging server discounts the provisional accounting amount stored in the accounting DB and determines this discounted accounting amount. Then, the charging server charges this discounted accounting amount to a user.
