    Abstract: Optimized method for assembling two substantially flat parts. To assemble two parts (10, 12) that are substantially flat using fixations (14) such as rivets or bolts, first the ratio R is calculated between tensile and bending stresses relating to the forces to be transmitted. The end line of the fixations (14) is then oriented along an angle &agr; whose absolute value is such that 10.8 ln(R)+16<|&agr;|<13.9 ln(R)+28 when the ratio R is 1 or more, and such that 16°<|&agr;|<28° when the ratio R is less than 1. The absolute value of angle &agr; does not exceed 90°.
