  • Publication number: 20120033178
Abstract: A method includes: a) defining position-identification elements for identifying the position of a first frame of reference associated with a wearer's head in a second frame of reference associated with an image-capture device and for identifying the angle of inclination of the first frame of reference in the sagittal plane of the wearer's head about a center of rotation of the head; b) capturing a series of at least two images of the wearer's head; c) determining, in the second frame of reference, a position of the center of rotation; d) identifying, in each image, the image of a first anatomical point of the wearer's face; e) determining, in each image, the angle of inclination relative to a reference plane of an anatomical plane that is perpendicular to the sagittal plane and that contains the center of rotation and the first anatomical point; f) comparing the angle with a predetermined value; and g) determining the geometrical-and-postural parameter as a function of the comparison.

  • Patent number: 7950800
Abstract: A method of capturing a substantially front-view image of the face of a wearer wearing at least one frame (10), the image being captured by an image-capture appliance (1), and calculating the geometrico-physiognomic parameter (H, TETA) by processing the captured image. The calculation of the geometrico-physiognomic parameter (H, TETA) includes identifying in the image the image of a predetermined remarkable point (RC) that is directly or indirectly associated with the wearer's face or with the frame, and it takes into consideration a magnitude representative of the absolute vertical angle of observation (GAMMA) formed between firstly an observation line (DO) connecting the pupil (7) of the image-capture appliance (1) to the remarkable point (RC), and secondly its projection onto a horizontal plane (PF).

  • Patent number: 7857933
Abstract: A device for applying a coating film (63) on a face of a lens, the film previously being placed on the face concerned of the lens, includes a seat (40) suitable for receiving the lens, a membrane (62) including a peripheral fixing portion (62A) and an inflatable portion (62B), and an inflater element (61) for inflating the membrane towards the lens seat. The inflater element include a first plate (66) and a second plate (65) with the membrane (62) placed between them, the first plate presenting as a setback a pressurization chamber (80) connected to a source (93) of compressed gas, and the second plate presenting a protrusion opening (71), the two plates being mounted to move relative to each other between an open configuration and a closed configuration.

  • Publication number: 20100228375
Abstract: A preparation device (1) for preparing an ophthalmic lens to be machined, includes a support (100) suitable for holding the ophthalmic lens, blocking elements (400) including at least one blocking accessory (450) and a manipulator arm (401) for manipulating the blocking accessory, an acquisition device (200) suitable for acquiring an image of the ophthalmic lens, electronic and/or computer processor elements (700) suitable firstly for deducing an optical frame of reference of the ophthalmic lens, and secondly for controlling the position of the manipulator arm and/or of the support to apply the blocking accessory against the ophthalmic lens in a given blocking position. The blocking elements and/or the support include at least one marker element and the electronic and/or computer processor elements are adapted to identify the position of the marker element in an image acquired by the acquisition device, in which image there appears an image of the marker element.

  • Publication number: 20100177186
Abstract: The method includes capturing at least one digital image of the wearer's face with a portable image capture appliance (1) and processing the captured image to determine a geometrico-physionomic parameter. Before capturing the image, the operator positions the image capture appliance manually in a first configuration in which an observation line connecting the pupil (7) of the image capture appliance with a predetermined remarkable point associated with the wearer's face or with the frame is substantially horizontal. Image capture is performed in a second configuration of the image capture appliance such that the altitude of the image capture appliance is identical to its altitude in the first configuration. The calculation of the geometrico-physionomic parameter includes identifying on the image, the image of the predetermined remarkable point.

  • Publication number: 20100006219
Abstract: Described is a method and a device for applying a coating film (63) on a face (108) of an optical element (100), including placing the coating on the face of the lens with an adhesive interface (46) placed between the coating and the lens, and inflating a membrane (62) towards the lens in order to press the coating against the lens. Provision is made to adjust the position of the lens relative to the membrane, the adjustment being distinct from the inflation of the membrane.
