  • Patent number: 7374006
Abstract: A method and a device for determining the condition of roadway surfaces includes transmitting electromagnetic radiation at at least two different frequencies in the GHz range, reflecting and/or scattering the electromagnetic radiation by the roadway surface and subsequently receiving the electromagnetic radiation at the at least two frequencies. The condition of the roadway surface is determined on the basis of a comparison of the radiation intensities received at the different frequencies.

  • Publication number: 20040063409
Abstract: In order to improve the signal-to-noise ratio for broadcast radio reception in a vehicle, the invention provides an arrangement (1) for digital reception of a signal (S), in particular of a broadcast radio signal, having two or more antennas (2) each of which has an associated receiver element (4), with the receiver elements (4) being connected via a data bus (6) to a central control unit (8) for synchronization and superimposition of antenna signals (S) which are emitted from the antennas (4).

  • Patent number: 6625230
Abstract: A method of receiving data signals having identical contents and different frequencies. The frequency position of the data signals is analyzed by means of an FFT, and the signals are down-converted to the same intermediate frequency. The frequencies are selected such that the partial waves are constructively superpositioned, thereby improving the signal-noise ratio in the sum.

  • Patent number: 6547503
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a pressurized two-chambered container in the form of an aerosol can, in which a housing is provided with an opening that can be sealed tightly by a spray or aerosol valve. A product chamber and a propellant chamber are formed separately fluid-tight from each other by a flexible diaphragm in the housing. The product chamber can be charged with a product which can be release through said valve. The propellant chamber can be charged, on the other hand, with a compressed propellant. The product chamber communicates with the product-release opening. At least one end of a blank is left open to constitute subsequently the housing. The diaphragm is inserted into the blank through the open end, and the blank then is formed into the housing. An edge of the open end of the blank is reformed to narrow it into an integral mouthpiece that accommodates the product-release opening.

  • Patent number: 6518908
Abstract: A method for analog-to-digital conversion of an analog signal includes decomposing the signal in the time domain into intervals, and transforming these intervals one after another using orthogonal functions, the coefficients corresponding to the orthogonal functions being defined and digitized. The transformed signal is then inversely transformed in the digital domain using the digitized coefficients and the same or different orthogonal functions. A high level of performance with respect to bandwidth and resolution may be achieved.

  • Patent number: 6483450
Abstract: A method for digital-to-analog conversion of a digital signal (xd(ti)) comprises resolving the signal (xd(ti)) in the time region into intervals and successively transforming these intervals on the basis of orthogonal functions (gjd(t)). Coefficients (ajd) associated with the orthogonal functions (gjd(t)) are determined and converted from digital to analog and the signal (xa(t)) is transformed back in the analog region on the basis of analog coefficients (aj), which result therefrom, by means of orthogonal functions (hj(t)).

  • Patent number: 6361633
Abstract: A method and device for producing a two chamber pressure pack comprised of an outer container (1) and an inner sack (2) which are glued in an edge area. After inserting the inner sack into the outer container, the edge area of the inner sack is expanded by means of a tool, said tool being guided into said area, and is pressed against the inner surface of the edge area of the outer container. Afterwards, the edge areas which are connected to one another are mutually bordered by the outer container and inner sack. A valve cover is placed on the bordering edge in a sealed manner. In order to be able to uniformly expand the edge area of the inner sack, a compressible elastic body (5) is used as a tool, said body being arranged approximately vertical in relation to the opening plane. When the inner sack is being inserted into the outer container, the outer periphery of said body is smaller than that of the inner wall of the inner sack edge area.
