  • Patent number: 5379872
Abstract: A locking arrangement for the selector lever 1 of an automatic transmission locks the selector lever in the neutral positions P and N by the form-locking engagement of a selector-lever-fixed locking member in indentations of a rotatable pawl. An actuating force, which is applied to the selector lever in the locked condition, by way of curved contact surfaces of the locking member, at a contact point, is introduced into steep flanks bounding the indentations. A resulting low supporting force exercises so little stress on two rollers supporting the pawl that, by means of a lifting magnet, one roller, despite the acting actuating force, can easily be displaced in a position which releases the pawl and unlocks the selector lever.

  • Patent number: 4638155
Abstract: An apparatus for the Optoelectronic Measuring of the rotational speed of a shaft, and in particular the rotational speed of a shaft of a turbosupercharger which is part of an internal combustion engine. This apparatus makes it possible to measure the rotational speed of such a shaft in a simple, reliable, and cost-effective manner by utilizing an amplitude modulated pencil of light which is converted into a usable electronic signal by a special electronic evaluating system. The light modulator is a component already existing on the turbosupercharger shaft, thereby further reducing complexity and cost.

  • Patent number: 4562816
Abstract: A fuel feed system of an internal combustion engine, in which for damping fuel oscillations which are excited by the closing of injection valves and which occur amplified in a predetermined rotational speed range, a damper is attached to the distributor pipe opposite to a regulator. The damper is of the same type of construction and size as the regulator and forms together with the same a resonator-antiresonator system, whereby the fuel column oscillates to and fro with low flow losses between the regulator and damper.
