Abstract: A method for enabling collaboration in online enterprise applications includes, during development of the online enterprise application, selecting at least one webpage to be in wiki format; creating an access control list for the at least one webpage; and selecting at least one control for the at least one webpage. The at least one webpage may be edited directly within the online enterprise application. A system for enabling collaboration in online enterprise applications includes an agent for allowing selection and setup of at least one webpage in wiki format during development of an online enterprise application and a database for storing editable content of the at least one webpage in wiki format.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for providing location based subscription services. The methods include receiving a geographic location of a user. The user is subscribed to an on-line community if the on-line community specifies a community location that is within a distance of the geographic location of the user, and the user is not currently subscribed to the on-line community. The user is un-subscribed from the on-line community if the community location is not within the distance of the geographic location of the user and the user is currently subscribed to the on-line community. Embodiments further include computer program products for implementing the methods.

Abstract: A client application program subscribing to a channel of a pub/sub service, receives a message published by the pub/sub service, the received message invoking an associated application program at the client.

Abstract: A message received from a user causes a query of a dynamic database such as a FAQ or Relational Database, the results of the query are returned to the user. Furthermore the received message is published to a community of anonymous users. Optionally the user can edit the returned results and store the edited version in the dynamic database or edit the dynamic database via a GUI interface.

Abstract: Electronic message response reception at a client computer in a conversation are throttled according to a predetermined critera in order to reduce the volume of messages the client is presented. Critera for throttling messages comprises only presenting messages in a predetermined time window, presenting only a predetermined number of response messages, presenting messages based on previous responder activity and presenting only messages from predefined senders.

Abstract: An electronic conversation is initiated between a first user and a second user preferably by broadcasting a message via a pub/sub service to a plurality of users subscribing to the service wherein said second user responds to the broadcasted message wherein said electronic conversation session is uniquely identified. One or more electronic conversation messages are exchanged between the first user and the second user during said uniquely identified electronic conversation session. Information about said uniquely identified electronic conversation session is recorded at the conclusion of the session to be used in subsequent sessions.

Abstract: Presenting a Pub/Sub service GUI interface to a subscribers computer system, the GUI interface comprising one or more topics to which the subscriber can subscribe, the Pub/sub service having a list of subscribers subscribing to a topic. The GUI interface preferably comprising widgets, enabling a subscriber to manage subscriptions to topics. The Pub/Sub service publishes messages of a topic according to the subscription list.

Abstract: A client subscribes to a pub/sub service, the client comprises an application program for performing an operation on a published message received from a Pub/Sub service. The operation on the message comprises any one of saving the message to storage, accessing a web service based on information in the received message, authorizing subscription, executing an application identified by the message, filtering the message information for presentation to a user, overriding a message function, transforming the message media format or forwarding the message to another node.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and program products are provided for switching identity of a user that has a first username associated with a first class of users. According to the method, login information is received from the user, with the login information including the first username, an alternate class, and a password. The user is authenticated based on the first username and the password, and access to the computer system is provided as the alternate class, with the alternate class being different than the first class. In one preferred embodiment, the login information further includes a second username, and access to the computer system is provided with the rights and privileges of the second username.
