  • Patent number: 11506363
Abstract: A flexible lighting panel comprising a light-emitting unit with electrical contact pads on a flexible substrate; a flat flexible printed circuit board with a bendable extension tab, wherein the circuit board is located on the opposite side of the light-emitting unit from the substrate; the area of the circuit board, not including the extension tab, is the same or greater than and overlaps the emissive area of the light-emitting unit; and the circuit board has at least two flat electrical connectors in electrical contact with the contact pads of the light-emitting unit; the flat electrical connectors extending along the extension tab of the circuit board for connection to a power source. The light emitting unit can be an OLED. The extension tab can be bent so that the flat electrical connections become accessible in different orientations. The panel can be ultrathin.

  • Patent number: 8602616
Abstract: It is provided a lamp, particularly halogen lamp, for a headlight of a motor vehicle, comprising a light source (12) for emitting mainly white light, a mainly transparent envelope (14) encapsulating the light source (12) and a filter element (22) provided at the envelope (14), wherein the filter element (22) is adapted for deflecting visible light of a predefined wavelength interval such, that mainly blue light can be provided above a bright/dark-cutoff (28). Since the deflected bluish light is above the bright/dark-cutoff (28) an oncoming driver recognizes earlier the light. At the same time the oncoming driver is not blinded by the blue light above the bright/dark-cutoff (28), since not the whole emitted light (40) but only a smaller wavelength interval is directed above the bright/dark-cutoff (28).

  • Patent number: 8227031
Abstract: In a method of producing a layered composite, wherein at least one layer including cubic boron nitride is deposited on a substrate and, during the deposition, 3 to 15 at % oxygen is added for assuming the nitrogen locations of the cubic boron-nitride grating or intermediate grating locations, thereby providing for cubic boron nitride layers with a thickness of at least 2 ?m without the formation of cracks.

  • Publication number: 20110233049
Abstract: The invention relates to a device (10) for sputtering at least one selected materialonto a substrate (5) and bringing about a reaction of this material, comprising a vacuum chamber (11), in which a substrate holder (12) is arranged, at least one magnetron sputtering mechanism (15), which is arranged in a workstation close to the substrate holder (12) and which has a target of the selected material which is suitable for producing a first plasma for sputtering at least one material onto the substrate (5), as well as a secondary plasma mechanism (16) for producing a secondary plasma, which is arranged in the workstation close to the magnetron sputtering mechanism (15) and close to the substrate holder (12), the sputtering mechanism (15) and the secondary plasma mechanism (16) forming a sputtering zone and an activation zone.

  • Patent number: 7506609
Abstract: In an arrangement for generating a local electron-cyclotron-microwave-low pressure plasma at a certain location within a gas-filled process chamber, a microwave supply means providing a microwave beam and a plasma localization unit generating a magnetic field are provided such that the magnetic field and the microwave beam intersect each other in the process chamber. The microwaves are uncoupled onto a concave reflection structure from the focal point thereof so that the microwave beam generated is essentially parallel. An arrangement for generating a magnetic field is movable along the microwave beam axis so that a cross volume between the microwave beam and the magnetic field can be moved along the beam axis whereby the conditions for electron cyclotron resonance are adjustable by displacement of the magnetic field.
