Abstract: The vehicle has a frame (3) on which a drive mechanism for moving the vehicle is arranged. A platform (4) for the wheelchair (2) is mounted on the frame (3) and can be lowered in order to load the wheelchair (2) onto the vehicle and can be lifted together with the wheelchair (2). The vehicle (1) can be controlled via at least one grip (15, 29) by an attendant or by the person sitting in the wheelchair (2). The grip (15) that can be operated by the attendant is preferably a sensor grip via which the vehicle can be moved without any appreciable force being applied.
