  • Patent number: 4477690
Abstract: A coupling unit for two multilayer cables of a stator winding of a high-voltage generator, located in the end-face portion thereof, comprises terminations (1) of interconnected multilayer cables, wherein conducting layers (2,10) and conducting layer tubes (6,8) are concentrically arranged and separated from one another by insulating layers (7, 9, 14, 15), jumpers (18, 20, 22, 24) electrically coupling said conducting layers (2, 10) and conducting layer tubes (6, 8). A portion of each insulating layer (7, 9, 14, 15), facing the jumpers (18, 20, 22, 24) has a shape of an end insulation frustum (16). Each jumper (18, 20, 22, 24) is a totality of components made as a portion of a hollow cylinder limited by two planes. Each jumper (18, 20, 22, 24) carries an insulating bushing (12, 21, 23, 25). Thin-walled insulation cylinders (27, 28) are secured in each end insulation frustums (26) and in frustums (26) of the insulation bushings (19, 21, 23, 25).

  • Patent number: 4420701
Abstract: A coupling unit for connection of a generator high-voltage winding and an let bar comprises summary turns of the generator high-voltage winding made up of conducting layers which are insulated conductors connected in the zone of the high-voltage lead-in with the inlet bar (17) and cooling ducts. Summary turns of the generator high-voltage winding are made as concentrically arranged tubes (5,7,9,11,12) connected to one another in the zone of the high-voltage lead-in by means of template tubular elements (16) providing for gradual change over of the tube (5) of the first summary turn into a tube (7) of the second summary turn, of the tube (7) of the second summary turn into a tube (9) of the third summary turn and so on until the tube (9) of the penultimate summary turn becomes the tube (11,12) of the last summary turn of the generator high-voltage winding. Cooling ducts are divided into a central duct (6) and peripheral ducts (15) for cooling.

  • Patent number: 4413201
Abstract: A device for attachment of coil ends in a generator stator high-voltage winding includes insulation spacers (13) disposed on external surfaces of the coil end bars (16), auxiliary spacers disposed between coil end bars (16), a case (1), spring stops (15) anchored inside the case (1), and planks (14). The case (1) is made of two coaxial truncated-cone members (2 and 3) and a part of a torus member (4) made integral therewith and incorporating a joint (5) with a seal (6). Each plank (14) is arranged between two insulation spacers (13), and the insulation spacers (13) are arranged between the coil end bars (16) and the spring stops (15). The insulation spacers (13), the planks (14), the spring (15) and a side surface of the case (1) form cooling passages.

  • Patent number: 4323803
Abstract: The electric machine comprises a rotor, a stator filled with a cooling fluid and separated from the rotor by a sealed jacket forming chambers of end-connectors of the stator winding. Within the stator there are provided ducts for the cooling fluid to flow therein, which connect said chambers. An external pipeline, at least part of which is disposed above the stator, forms an ascending and descending branches of the cooling fluid circulation system, each of the branches being communicated with one of said chambers. The upper section of the descending branch includes a cooler which is thus comprised in the whole system of the cooling fluid natural circulation which is effected due to the difference in specific weights of heated and cooled fluid.
