    Abstract: Disclosed is a method to convert a low resistance cell in a MRAM device to a capacitive cell. The low resistance cell has a plurality of layers on a substrate. At least one layer remote from the substrate is sensitive to oxygen infusion. The method includes removing a cap layer of the cell and applying an oxygen barrier around the cell to expose at least a part of a surface of the at least one layer remote from the substrate. The at least one layer is oxidized. The oxygen barrier is removed.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to HDD screws, and more specifically to lubricating the HDD screws. HDD screws may be coated in a layer of a PFPE based lubricant to reduce friction while fastening the screw into a HDD. In addition to providing superior lubricity and reduced friction during fastening and longer shelf life, PFPE lubricated screws provide narrower clamping load distribution and lower particle generation compared to currently used screw lubricants. Furthermore, because PFPE lubricants are also used to lubricate magnetic disk surfaces, the HDD screws may provide a reservoir for replenishing depleting lubricants on the magnetic disk drive surface.

    Abstract: A system and method for opening a vacuum package is disclosed. The method includes providing a chamber at a normal pressure and loading the chamber with a vacuum package wherein the vacuum package is at a first pressure. The method also includes applying a vacuum to the chamber such that the pressure inside the chamber is substantially equal to the first pressure. The method further includes opening the vacuum package and equalizing the pressure inside the chamber to the normal pressure.

    Abstract: A system and method for detecting a defect in an actuator arm conductor coil is disclosed. An actuator arm including a conductor coil is received. The conductor coil is coupled with a voltage as an anode. The conductor coil is submerged into a first solution, the first solution having no organic matter therein. The first solution is then coupled with a second solution including an organic indicator. The second solution also includes a cathode coupled to the voltage such that a defect in an insulation layer of the conductor coil is indicated by the organic indicator.
