  • Patent number: 11907069
Abstract: In network devices, during manufacturing, input for designation of a region code to be a non-specific region code is stored in a BIOS memory of the network device, and a specific region code is stored off the BIOS. During boot up, the BIOS is checked for a specific region code to regulate wireless transmissions at a physical location of operation. Responsive to receiving the non-specific region code from BIOS, the specific region code is requested from a region code server based on a network device identifier. Once received, the region code is stored in flash memory, until rebooted or otherwise reset, rather than BIOS.

  • Patent number: 10389423
Abstract: A telecommunication terminal that integrated with a wireless access point is provided. According to one embodiment, a telecommunication terminal includes a local area network (LAN) port, a processor, an Internet Protocol (IP) phone unit, a wireless access point unit and a housing. The LAN port is connectable to an enterprise computer network via an Ethernet cable. The processor runs a host operating system (OS). The IP phone unit is implemented as an application that is loaded and run within the host OS. The wireless access point unit facilitates access to the enterprise computer network by wireless devices within a coverage area of the wireless access point unit by providing wireless connections to the wireless devices and is implemented as an application that is loaded and run within the host OS. The housing encloses the processor and the LAN port.

  • Patent number: 10015791
Abstract: Methods and systems for configuring an access point (AP) are provided. According to one embodiment, a wireless network architecture includes multiple dual concurrent wireless access points, each including dual radios and dual antennas. The dual radios are configured to operate in a same frequency band and include multiple channels within the frequency band. The dual radios in each of the dual concurrent wireless access points are configured with different channels. The dual concurrent wireless access points are configured in a cell pattern, configured to use all of the channels within the frequency band.

  • Publication number: 20180181992
Abstract: Automatic notification of real estate for sale is provided to a prospective buyer running a real estate app on a mobile device. A chirp beacon that is a Bluetooth Low-Energy (BLE) tag or iBeacon is attached to a real estate sign. The chirp beacon periodically broadcasts its identifier that is received by mobile devices within a range of 10-100 meters. The real estate app sends the identifier to a remote database to find a property IDs. The property ID is looked up in a merged database to obtain property information and directions that are displayed on the mobile device. Additional signs such as at busy intersections or inside the property may also have chirp beacons that cause the real estate app to fetch more information. When real estate app detects a nearby chirp beacon, an audible chirp sound is generated by mobile device. Selling agents receive valuable usage statistics.
