  • Patent number: 8465938
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for producing Cypridina luciferase labeled with hydrophilic biotin, characterized in that a biotin reagent containing a polyalkylene glycol structure as a spacer is reacted with Cypridina luciferase, and biotin-labeled Cypridina luciferase wherein a sugar chain in Cypridina luciferase has been biotinylated.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 3, 2010
Date of Patent: June 18, 2013
Assignee: National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technolgy
Inventors: Yoshihiro Ohmiya, Chun Wu, Satoru Ohgiya, Kosei Kawasaki
  • Patent number: 8147842
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a mutant luciferase having luciferase activity with an altered emission spectrum. A specific amino acid residue(s) is substituted in a luciferase derived from Cypridina noctiluca and then the resulting mutant luciferase having luciferase activity with an emission spectrum differing from that of the wild-type luciferase is screened for.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 26, 2007
Date of Patent: April 3, 2012
Assignee: National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology
Inventors: Kosei Kawasaki, Yousuke Morita, Satoru Ohgiya, Yoshihiro Ohmiya, Yasushi Ohyama

  • Publication number: 20090224414
Abstract: In the evaporative humidifier of the present invention, a desired humidity is obtained by supplying water only to a humidifying module required for humidification. Air simply passes through a humidifying module to which water is not supplied. Accordingly, air obtained by mixing humidified air passing through the humidifying module which is wet with water being supplied thereto (wet zone) and non-humidified air passing through the humidifying module to which water is not supplied (dry zone) is blown out from an outlet of the evaporative humidifier. The mixture amount (mixture ratio) is controlled by the opening and closing of the valve, so that a desired humidity is obtained. Therefore, with the evaporative humidifier of the present invention, humidity control can be accurately performed without unnecessarily operating the humidifying device and without wasting energy.

  • Patent number: 7371847
Abstract: The present invention provides a DNA fragment having a cold-inducible promoter function of yeast, which has high activity in a low temperature range, by identifying a DNA fragment, which exists in a non-translation region located upstream of the 5?-terminal side of a gene selected from the group consisting of cold-inducible genes of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and has a cold-inducible promoter function.
