  • Patent number: 5305041
Abstract: A remotely controllable camera system has a photodetector mounted in a camera housing and facing a front panel thereof. The photodetector detects an external optical command signal beam applied thereto through the front panel. The camera system also has an optical fiber for guiding an external optical command signal beam applied through a rear panel of the camera housing toward the photodetector. The external optical command signal beam is transmitted from an infrared remote controller which may be positioned in front of or behind the camera. The camera has an electrically controllable shutter that can be released in response to the external optical command signal beam detected by the photodetector.

  • Patent number: 5212509
Abstract: A waterproof camera having an opening which is formed in a stationary barrel of a camera body and in which a photographing lens barrel is movable in an optical axis direction. A movable waterproofing cover is movable in an optical axis direction to a waterproof position and a non-waterproof position and which is provided on its front end with a transparent waterproof member. A securing device secures the waterproofing cover to the stationary barrel when the waterproofing cover is positioned at the waterproof position, and an annular seal member establishes a watertight connection between the opening and the waterproofing cover when the waterproofing cover is secured to the stationary barrel at the waterproof position.

  • Patent number: 5194340
Abstract: A contact device including a cylindrical battery which has a circular terminal and a projecting terminal at opposite ends, the projecting terminal having a diameter smaller than that of the circular terminal and having a polarity opposite that of the circular terminal. A battery receptacle has a pair of electrodes to which the respective terminals of the battery are connected when the battery is loaded in the battery receptacle, and a malconnection prevention projection which permits one of the electrodes of the battery receptacle to be electrically connected to the circular terminal of the battery and prevents the one electrode of the battery receptacle from being electrically connected to the projecting terminal of the battery.

  • Patent number: 5136326
Abstract: A photometry device having a block body, constructed as a single body, on which all of the elements of a photometry system are mounted. The photometry system includes a condenser lens, a stop plate having a stop and a photosensor. An output characteristic of the photo sensor is determined by a pre-set resistance provided in a circuit board, and is adjusted during the process of assembling the block body. The photo sensor does not require a re-adjustment after the block body is assembled into a camera.
