    Abstract: An automotive power unit includes a plurality of storage batteries; a power supply box arranged between the storage batteries and a load; a switch means that is provided in the power supply box and selects whether or not to supply power to the load from the storage batteries; and a switch control unit that detects output voltages of the storage batteries and controls the opening and closing of the switch means so as to select a storage battery for supplying power to the load. The switch control unit enables, based on a control signal that is output from a load control unit when the load is driven, a storage battery selecting operation to be performed by the switch means.
