  • Patent number: 11520713
Abstract: Embodiments using a distributed bus arbiter for one cycle channel selection with inter-channel ordering constraints. A distributed bus arbiter that orders one or more memory bus transactions originating from a plurality of master bus components to a plurality of shared remote slaves over shared serial channels attached to differing interconnect instances may be implemented.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 3, 2018
Date of Patent: December 6, 2022
    Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATION
Inventors: Dimitrios Syrivelis, Andrea Reale, Kostas Katrinis
  • Patent number: 11487351
Abstract: Embodiments for an intelligent directing service in an Internet of Things (IoT) computing environment by a processor. One or more objects may be identified within a defined region relative to an entity. At least a portion of an extremity of the entity may be directed to select or avoid the one or more objects according to one or more internet of things (IoT) devices.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 23, 2018
Date of Patent: November 1, 2022
    Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATION
Inventors: Beat Buesser, Michele Gazzetti, Yiannis Gkoufas, Kostas Katrinis, Vincent Lonij, Sean A. McKenna
  • Patent number: 11372867
Abstract: In accordance with one example method, a computing system may determine that first user profile data of a first user of a relevance scoring service is similar to second user profile data of a second user of the relevance scoring service, where the relevance scoring service is configured to assign first relevance scores to first information chunks to be presented to the first user based at least part on at least a first portion of first stored behavior data of the first user, and where the first stored behavior data is indicative of the first user's interactions with second information chunks previously presented to the first user. In response to determining that the first user profile data is similar to the second user profile data, the relevance scoring service may be configured to assign second relevance scores to third information chunks to be presented to the second user based at least in part on at least a second portion of the first stored behavior data.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 28, 2020
Date of Patent: June 28, 2022
    Assignee: Citrix Systems, Inc.
    Inventors: Aikaterini Kalou, Kostas Katrinis

  • Patent number: 11187548
Abstract: Various embodiments are provided for planning computational unit (e.g., virtual machine (VM)) migration based on vehicle mobility prediction in a computing environment by a processor. A computational unit handover operation may be dynamically planned associated with a vehicle using one or more predicted routes according to global positioning satellite (“GPS”) data, contextual data, historical data, a maximum latency requirement for the vehicle, one or more load balancing requirements for an edge computing server.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 5, 2019
Date of Patent: November 30, 2021
    Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATION
Inventors: Yassine Lassoued, Julien Monteil, Kostas Katrinis
  • Patent number: 10893120
Abstract: Embodiments for data caching and data-aware placement for machine learning by a processor. Data may be cached in a distributed data store to one or more local compute nodes of cluster of nodes with the cached data. A new job may be scheduled, according to cache and data locality awareness, on the one or more local compute nodes with the cached data needed for execution.
