  • Publication number: 20210140474
Abstract: The invention relates to a monotectic aluminum plain bearing alloy having bismuth inclusions, which alloy is suitable for plastic deformation and consists of 1 to 20 wt % bismuth, at least one element selected from 0.05 to 7 wt % copper, 0.05 to 15 wt % silicon, 0.05 to 3 wt % manganese, 0.05 to 5 wt % zinc as a primary alloying element and, in combination, 0.005 to 0.4 wt % titanium, 0.005 to 0.7 wt % zirconium, 0.001 to 0.1 wt % boron as additional alloying elements, and optionally one or more further additional elements, the remainder aluminum. The plain bearing alloy is ultra-fine-grained and has superplastic-like properties.

  • Patent number: 10610924
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a strand from a monotectic alloy which is made of multiple constituents and in which drops of a primary phase are distributed in a uniform manner in a crystalline matrix in the solidified state.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 27, 2016
Date of Patent: April 7, 2020
Assignee: Zollern BHW Gleitlager GmbH & Co. KG
    Inventors: Kostyantyn Gzovskyy, Edgar Gust
  • Patent number: 10190630
Abstract: A tin-based sliding bearing alloy contains zinc as its principal alloying element at a content of 2 to 14% w/w and has the Sn—Zn eutectic as its main structural element. The content of zinc as the principal alloying element can be expanded to 2 to 30% w/w by the addition of additional alloying elements. Antimony and/or copper can additionally be used as further principal alloying elements.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 10, 2014
Date of Patent: January 29, 2019
Assignee: Zollern BHW Gleitlager GmbH & Co. KG
