  • Patent number: 7903022
Abstract: A transmission controller 7B is configured to transmit an R/W request signal for requesting transmission of a tag response signal to a RFID tag 1 twice. At this time, a frequency controller 7A controls a PLL section 5A to transmit the R/W request signal via different carrier frequencies. A phase information acquirer 8A detects a phase change amount of the tag response signal that is transmitted via different carrier frequencies. A distance calculator 8B calculates the distance between the reader/writer 2 and the RFID tag 1 on the basis of the phase change amount.

  • Publication number: 20090018734
Abstract: An engine of a vehicle is to be started by only a simple operation. For example, when judging that the shift position is moved from “P” to another position, ECU transmits “request” for certifying a portable electronic key in the form of LF. When receiving UHF as “answer”, ECU outputs an engine start permitting signal. Accordingly, the engine start processing is finished, and the engine of the vehicle is started in response to output of the engine start permitting signal. The present invention is applicable to an antitheft system of a vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20090015387
Abstract: A start of a vehicle is made to be capable of limited in compliance with a necessity. For example, in a case where an operation mode at a time point in which a “request” from an ECU was received is a start inhibition mode, a portable electronic key forms an “answer” including a “start inhibition information”, and transmits that “answer” to the ECU by a UHF. In this case, in an ECU side, the start of the vehicle is inhibited. In contrast to this, in a case where it is a start permission mode, an “answer” not including the “start inhibition information” is formed and transmitted to the ECU. In this case, in the ECU side, the start of the vehicle is permitted. That is, by the fact that an accelerator is stepped on and the like, the vehicle starts. The present invention can be applied to a passive entry system.
