    Abstract: In a vehicle body front structure, a collision load is input to an outside protruding portion of a gusset when a portion farther to a vehicle width direction outside than a front side member of a vehicle collides in a frontal collision with a colliding object (here, barrier (B)) such as an oncoming vehicle (i.e., when a so-called small overlap collision occurs). This gusset is fixed in a cross section of a front portion of the front side member, so the collision load is able to be better transmitted to a vehicle width direction inside portion of the front side member. Moreover, this gusset abuts against a front end portion of the outer panel of the front side member from a vehicle front side, so the collision load is also able to be better transmitted to a vehicle width direction outside portion of the front side member.
