  • Patent number: 9126468
Abstract: A spring seat is interposed between a spring and a suspension arm supporting the spring. The spring seat includes a support portion for supporting the spring, and an upright partition portion disposed on one side of the spring seat in a lateral direction of the spring seat. The upright partition portion is formed integrally with the support portion for covering a side surface of the spring. The suspension arm includes a recessed portion supporting the spring, and the partition portion has a height equal to or greater than a height of the recessed portion. The partition portion includes a guide surface for upward or laterally guiding foreign matters coming from an outside of the spring seat in the lateral direction of the spring seat.

  • Patent number: 8534649
Abstract: A mount structure for a vehicle damper, configured in such a manner that an end of the piston rod (33) of the damper (17) is supported by a vehicle-side member (51). A nut (57) engaged with the male thread section (42) formed on a reduced diameter section (41) of the piston rod (33) collectively fastens upper and lower gripping members (55, 56), a collar member (54), and upper and lower elastic sections (52, 53) to the reduced diameter section (41). An input from the damper body (38) side is transmitted to the vehicle body-side member (51) through a transmission member (58).

  • Patent number: 5984330
Abstract: A strut type wheel suspension system is modified so as to allow the camber angle of the wheel to change in the negative direction as the wheel moves upward with respect to the vehicle body. The suspension system includes additional links which jointly convert the vertical movement of a lower part of the knuckle into a lateral movement of an upper part of the knuckle. This allows the camber angle of the outer wheel of a vehicle making a turn to change into a more negative value, and thereby increases the cornering power of the wheel. Thus, the present invention increases the freedom in controlling the camber angle of the wheel without losing the benefits of the simplicity of a strut type wheel suspension system.
