Abstract: A mobile station is configured to transmit a first location registration related signal addressed to a first exchange to a radio network controller, so as to perform location registration to both the first exchange and a second exchange, when operating in first network operation mode. The mobile station includes a controller configured to transmit a second location registration related signal addressed to the second exchange to the radio network controller, so as to perform the location registration to the second exchange without passing thorough the first exchange, when the mobile station operates in the first network operation mode and when the mobile station receives an access restriction signal for the first exchange from the radio network controller.

Abstract: The object of the invention is to allow two systems residing in the same area and same frequency band to be coexistent compatibly with each other while reducing the mutual interference. A radio network controller 20 for controlling the broadcast timing when various kinds of broadcast information is broadcast with respect to each of two systems, which reside in the same frequency band of the same area and have common specification for physical layer in a state where all or a part of upper layer protocols have no compatibility, broadcasts various kinds of broadcast information about system 1 at a predetermined timing. With respect to various kinds of broadcast information about system 2, broadcast timing information, which is scheduled to be staggered from the broadcast timing of the system 1, is notified using a part of region of the broadcast information, and the broadcast information of the system 2 is broadcast at the notified broadcast timing.

Abstract: There is provided a neighbor cell notifying apparatus capable of implementing more efficient notification to a mobile station within a range that can be notified of and monitored, when the mobile station in communication using a plurality of cells is notified of neighbor cell information. This neighbor cell notifying apparatus includes a cell information extracting part for extracting neighbor cell information items for specifying respective neighbor cells corresponding to each of the cells; a cell rank determining part for, based on the neighbor cell information items extracted, determining ranks of neighbor cell information items that the mobile station is to be notified of, in favor of neighbor cell information items about neighbor cells common to the cells; and a cell information notifying part for notifying the mobile station of a predetermined number of neighbor cell information items among the neighbor cell information items on the basis of the ranks determined.
