  • Publication number: 20090322858
Abstract: According to one embodiment, in an apparatus according to the present invention, a first frame memory has an input portion to which a first picture signal for three-dimensional viewing is input. A second frame memory has an input unit to which a second picture signal for three-dimensional viewing or a third picture signal for frame rate conversion is input. A motion detection module detects a motion detection signal that indicates a motion in an image by use of the third picture signal. An interpolation frame generation module generates an interpolation frame picture signal by use of the third picture signal in accordance with the motion detection signal. A selection module selects either one of the interpolation frame picture signal and the first picture signal. And an output timing control module to which output picture signals are supplied from the selection module and the second frame memory.

  • Patent number: 7626638
Abstract: According to one embodiment, an input analog video signal is digitized, and an OSD signal to which a second scaling process is performed is added to the digital video signal to which a first scaling process is performed. At this point, display modes of the digital video signal and the OSD signal are changed by causing pieces of scaling data, supplied for the first and second scaling processes, to be variable based on a predetermined operation.

  • Publication number: 20080151993
Abstract: According to one embodiment, there is provided a video signal processing apparatus including a determining section which receives a type signal representing whether a video signal is an uncoded video signal or a video signal obtained by decoding a coded digital signal, determines a first threshold (Tha, Thc, The) for determining a density change of the video signal when the type signal represents the uncoded video signal, and determines a second threshold (Thb, Thd, Thf) smaller than the first threshold when the type signal represents the video signal obtained by decoding the coded digital signal, a detecting section which receives the video signal and detects a density change which is smaller than the first threshold or the second threshold determined by the determining section, by using the threshold, and a subtracting section which, when the detecting section detects the density change, subtracts the density change component.
