The skin includes a first skin part, and a second skin part made of a soft material for connecting the first skin part and the connection structure. The connection structure includes a first fold-back portion integrally formed with the second skin part, and a second fold-back portion disposed on the substrate. The first fold-back portion is fitted with the second fold-back portion.

Abstract: Provided is a seat for vehicles that improves holding properties during seating without providing more support sections than necessary in a seat cushion, and enables a passenger to smoothly getting on and off the vehicle. The seat for vehicles has a seat cushion that forms the seating surface of the seat, a seat back that forms the backrest of the seat, and a headrest that protects the head and neck of a passenger, in which the seat cushion includes a pelvis holding section that holds the pelvis of the passenger on the rear side of the seat cushion, and thigh holding sections that hold the thighs of the passenger on the front surface side of the right and left side surfaces of the seat cushion, in which the height of the seating surface on the rear side of the seat cushion is lower than the height of the thigh holding sections, and is lower than the height of the pelvis holding section.

The seatback is secured to the strut, and is isolated from the seat cushion. The seatback and the seat cushion can therefore move, independent of each other. The seatback or the seat cushion, or both are lifted or lowered by a lifting/lowering means. Thus, the seatback and the seat cushion are lifted or lowered relative to each other. The lower half of the seatback, which supports the hips and lower ribs in the main, is made narrow than the upper half that supports the shoulder blades in the main. The seat cushion has, in the middle part of the rear end, a U-notch which loosely holds the narrow lower half.

Abstract: [Purpose] To provide a vehicle seat having a garnish attached thereto, which is simplified in structure for easy secure attachment of the garnish to a seat cushion of the seat, and also highly improved as to outer appearance quality of the seat cushion. [Means for Achieving the Purpose] A vehicle seat of the present invention includes: a frame 4 formed from a sheet metal, the frame standing upright in a vertical direction thereof; a garnish 1 engaged with and fitted to the frame 4 so as to cover an outer peripheral surface of that frame; a cushion element 3 supported by the frame 4; and a trim cover element 2 covering the cushion element 3. In this vehicle seat, a terminal end portion 20 of the trim cover element 2 is fixedly secured to an outer surface of the garnish 1.
