Abstract: An information processing apparatus according to the present invention includes the following: an input portion; authenticating means for performing authentication processing using authentication information input from the input portion and registered authentication information; a memory portion for storing authentication failure information when the result of the authentication processing performed by the authenticating means is failure; and a display portion for displaying the stored authentication failure information when the result of the authentication processing performed by the authenticating means is success. According to the above-described configuration, useful information for security management can be provided, as well as, a deterrent effect against unauthorized access can be raised.
