  • Publication number: 20140022763
Abstract: A display device includes a display with a display surface on which to display images, optical sources acting as a backlight to output light to the display, a diffuser panel disposed so as to face the optical sources, diffusing the light output from the optical sources, and a support pin disposed on the side opposite to the display across the diffuser panel. The support pin is contactable with the diffuser panel, maintains the position of the diffuser panel, and has a wide-width surface and a narrow-width surface that differ in width in two directions perpendicular to an alignment direction in which the display and the diffuser panel are aligned. The optical sources and the support pin are disposed alongside in a direction perpendicular to the alignment direction, and the narrow-width surface of the support pin faces the optical source at the shortest distance.

  • Patent number: 7603682
Abstract: A computer implemented method determines interest in video portions. A media stream including frames, and a composite rating counter including interest levels are retrieved. Each interest level corresponds to a frame. When viewed at normal playback rate, interest levels associated with the frame are increased by a normal amount. Interest levels associated with the frame are increased or decreased by an augmented amount based on a relative window size compared to the default window size, an order of z-index among all open windows, and a user selection of the frame indicating an interest level. The composite rating counter is updated based on a current count of the interest levels. The updated composite interest level is then stored for future retrieval by a subsequent user.

  • Patent number: 7537407
Abstract: In a ball joint 10, when a ball stud 11 rotates about its center axis L, at the beginning of the rotation, a ball seat 12 can be elastically deformed in the rotational direction, whereby the rotational torque can be gradually increased as the rotational angle increases. In a region of the ball seat 12 where slits S are provided, the frictional engagement force between a spherical head portion 11a of the ball stud 11 and the ball seat 12 is made greater than the frictional engagement force between the ball seat 12 and the ball socket 13. Therefore, when the ball stud 11 rotates about its center axis L, the ball seat 12 elastically deforms in the rotational direction before the spherical head portion 11a starts to slip in relation to the ball seat 12 in the region where a lager fiction engagement force is generated.

  • Patent number: 4881753
Abstract: An air suspension system with an air drier that adjusts vehicle height quickly especially when lowering the height. This system also efficiently maintains the desiccating capacity of the air drier. In lowering the vehicle, all the air discharged from an air actuator is compressed by a compressor and supplied to an accumulator, thus reducing the load on the compressor. When vehicle height is not adjusted and the pressure in the accumulator exceeds a preset value, the air is released from the accumulator into the atmosphere through a throttle valve and the air drier to restore the capacity of the desiccating material in the air drier.
