    Abstract: A dual-bearing reel includes a reel body, a spool, a handle, and a spool shaft. The reel body has a first side plate having a first opening that opens in an axial direction of the spool shaft and through which the spool can pass, a second side plate that faces the first side plate, and a second side cover that is mounted on the second side plate. The spool has a bobbin trunk and a second flange. The handle is rotatably provided on the first side plate side of the reel body. The second side plate has a second opening that opens in the axial direction and a fixing portion for mounting a second side cover member, the fixing portion being provided on a peripheral edge of the second opening and at a position overlapping the second flange as viewed in the axial direction.
