  • Patent number: 10775288
Abstract: An apparatus for performing a contact mechanics test by engaging multiple styluses with a substrate through a contact load that is applied by a load applicator and transferred to the styluses through a stylus load transfer mechanism. This apparatus allows the styluses to be positioned in close proximity to allow for a smaller and more compact apparatus, with less uncertainty on the magnitude of the engagement load being applied to each stylus. Ultimately, this provides a more portable apparatus for testing of material properties.

  • Patent number: 5039024
Abstract: A recording tape can be secured on a winding core of a tape reel, the core being made of a plastic material, by melting and fixing the end of the tape on the core, said tape being made of the substantially same plastic material as the core.

  • Patent number: 4869864
Abstract: A polybutylene terephthalate resin film is produced by forming a film of a polybutylene terephthalate resin having an inherent viscosity of more than 1.0 by the inflation molding technique and under the condition of extrusion resin temperatures within a range defined by the following relation:melting point (.degree.C.)<extrusion resintemperature (.degree.C.)<melting point-26+53.times.inherent viscosity (.degree.C.).

  • Patent number: 4467732
Abstract: A melting apparatus has a low temperature melting portion (29), an exhaust gas cooling portion (26), and a dust collecting portion (B27) which are arranged, in succession, in an exhaust gas duct (54) of a melting furnace (B22). A low boiling point dust collected in the dust collecting portion (B27) is returned to the low temperature melting portion (29) for melting by retention heat of an exhaust gas flowing into the exhaust gas duct (54).
