Abstract: A power generation system includes a rotating body, a generator, a brake circuit, a voltage sensor, and a control device. When rotation speed of the rotating body exceeds a first threshold, the control device executes a brake operation by the brake circuit. When a release condition determined based on at least one of a value of a generated voltage detected by the voltage sensor and the rotation speed of the rotating body is satisfied after the rotation speed of the rotating body is lower than the first threshold, the control device stops the brake operation by the brake circuit.
