    Abstract: In a sheet conveying device, a multi-function frame in which optional devices such as a stack bypass, an envelope supplying unit and the like are mountable is connected to on an upstream of a conveyance frame defining a bottom surface of a sheet conveyance passage. A registration guide is pivotably supported on a downstream end portion of the multi-function frame and selectively shiftable over a first position of defining an upper surface of the sheet conveyance passage and a second position of opening an upper portion of the sheet conveyance passage. As a result, a sheet jam processing in the vicinity of the registration roller can be easily conducted.
