    Abstract: A resin composition for an automobile bumper comprising components (A), (B), and (C) described below:(A) 45 to 74% by weight of a crystalline ethylene-propylene block copolymer having (a) a flexural modulus of 15,000 kg/cm.sup.2 or more, (b) an ethylene content of 5 to 20% by weight, (c) an intrinsic viscosity (decalin, 135.degree. C.) of a portion soluble in p-xylene at room temperature of 3 or more, (d) a melt flow index (MI) of 21 to 70 g/10 min., and (e) a content of a portion insoluble in boiling n-heptane of 97% by weight or more;(B) 21 to 35% by weight of elastomer selected from the group consisting of components (I), (II) and (III) and having a weight ratio of (I) : [(I)+(II)+(III)] of from 0.5 to 1.0, (a) said component (1) being an amorphous ethylene-butene copolymer having a butene content of 10 to 25% by weight and a Mooney viscosity value, (ML.sub.1+4, 100.degree. C.

    Abstract: A polypropylene resin composition comprising:(A) 45 to 70% by weight of an ethylene-propylene block copolymer synthesized under the process comprising the steps of;(a) polymerizing propylene with a Ziegler-Natta catalyst to obtain a highly crystalline polypropylene that contain not less than 97% by weight of a fraction insoluble in boiling n-heptane, and(b) copolymerizing ethylene with the polypropylene (a), and which(a) contains 0.5 to 10% by weight of ethylene,(b) contains 5 to 20% by weight of a fraction being soluble in p-xylene at room temperature and having an intrinsic viscosity value of not less than 2 (measured in decalin at 135.degree. C.),(c) has a melt-flow index value of 30 to 100 g/10 min., and,(d) has a value of flexural modulus of not less than 18,000 kg/cm.sup.2,(B) 10 to 20% by weight of an amorphous ethylene-propylene copolymer having(a) an ethylene content of 70 to 90% by weight,(b) a Mooney viscosity value (ML.sub.1+4 at 100.degree. C.) of 5 to 70,(C) 5 to 15% by weight of an ethylene-.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a polypropylene composition comprising a crystalline ethylene-propylene block copolymer having an ethylene content of 5-20% by weight and a melt flow index of 11-90, a thermoplastic elastomer, an amorphous propylene-.alpha.-olefin random copolymer having a number-average molecular weight of 1,000-20,000 and a propylene content of 40-95% by weight and an inorganic filler. This composition can be made into a molded article having no flow mark on the surface. The molded article is superior in rigidity, heat deformation resistance, low temperature impact resistance and coatability, has appearance free from waviness, voids, etc., and is suitable for use particularly in high quality bumper for automobiles.

This composition can provide molded articles of very low warpage and is useful for the production of molded articles, particularly core materials of instrument panels for automobiles requiring high rigidity, high heat resistance and deformation resistance.
