  • Patent number: 5289931
Abstract: A cap has a circumferential band with flap pieces formed at the lower end of a cylindrical skirt portion via a weakened portion, and a feature resides in a circumferential curled portion that is formed at the lower end of the circumferential band. When the cap is opened, the flap pieces effectively prevents the circumferential band from entirely escaping.

  • Patent number: 5060818
Abstract: Disclosed is a vessel closure having a liner formed from a composition comprising (i) a hydrogenated styrene/butadiene block copolymer having a melt index smaller than 0.1 g/10 min as measured at a temperature of 200.degree. C. under a load of 5 kg, (ii) liquid paraffin and (iii) a propylene resin. In this liner, the compression permanent strain and permanent elongation under high temperature conditions are extremely small, and therefore, even if a divergence is produced between the liner and the mouth portion of a vessel by thermal deformation or thermal shrinkage, a good sealing property can be maintained.

  • Patent number: 4880127
Abstract: Disclosed is a composite vessel lid comprising an outer lid of a plastic material to be engage with a neck of a vessel and an inner lid of a thin metal sheet held within the outer lid. Fine projections are formed at predetermined intervals in the abutting portion between the outer and inner lids, and a gas-releasing path is formed among the fine projections.Since the gas-releasing path is not formed in a portion engaging with a vessel, such as a screwed portion of the outer lid, the engaging force is not reduced and the strength of the outer lid is not reduced, and release of gas is promptly accomplished effectively at the initial stage of opening.

  • Patent number: 4260478
Abstract: An apparatus for classifying particles comprising a main body having a fine particle outlet and a coarse particle outlet, a classifying fan wheel disposed within the main body, and a first gas inlet channel for supplying the particles to the interior of the main body along with a gas stream. The apparatus further includes a gas passing member having a large number of gas inlets opened toward the direction of rotation of the fan wheel, and a second gas inlet channel for supplying a gas stream to the space between the gas passing member and the inner wall surface of the main body.
