An upper side surface of the mattress part extends at a height lower than a lower end of the horizontal stand, and a space is formed under a horizontal surface of the horizontal stand in a state in which the floor plate part is at the second position.

Abstract: A press-forming apparatus is disclosed in which a preform such as green sheets, for example, is charged into a cavity in a pressure container, the cavity is covered with a lid member, and the green sheets are pressed by a pressure medium while the green sheets are heated by heating means, whereby the green sheets are press-formed into an integral laminated product. The pressure force should preferably be fluctuated during the pressing operation.

Abstract: In a kitchen unit specifically designed for use by physically handicapped persons sitting in a wheelchair, a pair of base cabinets mounted under a countertop are laterally spaced to define therebetween a wheelchair space opened forward and downward for allowing rolling entry of the wheelchair. With the kitchen unit thus configured, the physically handicapped person can use the kitchen unit satisfactorily and comfortably with the wheelchair extending into the wheelchair space under the countertop. Preferably, the kitchen unit includes an armrest table slidably mounted in one of the base cabinets adjacent the wheelchair space to provide a support or aid for the handicapped person during the kitchen work. A sink and surface cooking elements are located on the end portions of the countertop so as to leave therebetween a center cooking work surface while ensuring facilitated use thereof.

Abstract: Commutator for a flat motor which includes fan-shaped brush contact pieces and connection pieces upraised from said brush contact pieces and kept electrically integral therewith wherein a plurality of segments made of superior conductive material are arranged in an annular form in a specified spaced apart relation in such a way as said connection pieces are positioned at an inner edge, said segments are insulated with each other by an insulator material, top ends of said connection pieces are bent to an inverted-U shape, their leading ends are buried in said insulator material, connection wires of an armature winding are pushed into the slits made at the top ends of said connection pieces so as to connect the segments with the armature winding.
