  • Publication number: 20110281644
Abstract: A game apparatus obtains a captured image from a camera, and repeatedly executes a recognition process on the obtained captured image for recognizing a predetermined object included in the captured image. The game apparatus repeatedly generates and displays a synthesized age obtained by synthesizing an image of a virtual object generated by using a process result of the recognition process with a captured image which is a subject of the recognition process. Here, if the recognition process fails, a captured image which is a subject of a recognition process which has succeeded before is synthesized with an image of a virtual object generated by using a process result of the recognition process.

  • Publication number: 20110045904
Abstract: A game apparatus includes a camera, and with this camera, images in a plurality of poses decided in advance are imaged. From the imaged image in the plurality of poses, an image of a game character in each pose is created. In a battle game and a match-up game, the image in the pose corresponding to a motion according to an operation by a player is read, and by utilizing the read image in the pose, a character is displayed on a battle screen and a match-up screen.

  • Publication number: 20100146253
Abstract: While a first mode is set, a processor causes a memory to store a result obtained by execution of an interactive application as first result data, in association with precedently obtained first result data, as a first result data group. While a second mode is set, the processor causes a result obtained by execution of the interactive application to be stored as second result data, independently of the first result data group and precedently obtained second result data. For any of a user who mainly uses an information processing device and a user who temporarily uses the information processing device, results for each user can be utilized not only primarily but also secondarily.

  • Publication number: 20100141794
Abstract: When setting that a situation permits photographing is made, a CPU causes a first image obtained by photographing of a field by an image pick-up portion to be stored as an input image in association with prescribed information. In contrast, when setting that a situation does not permit photographing is made, the CPU accepts user's drawing input onto an input portion and causes a second image in accordance with the drawing input to be stored as the input image in association with the prescribed information. Thus, an image of a type appropriate for a condition of use can be stored in association with the prescribed information.

  • Patent number: 7621812
Abstract: In a game system, at least two of objects are set as selected objects. First, a virtual frame (a first frame 77) perpendicular to a line of sight is set on a frame setting plane 76. The first frame 77 is set so that selected objects 81 through 84 are positioned inside of the first frame 77 when viewed from a direction of the line of sight. Furthermore, the first frame 77 is deformed in accordance with movements of the selected objects 81 through 84. Specifically, when all of the selected objects 81 through 84 are a predetermined distance away from one side of the frame 77 when viewed in the direction of the line of sight, the side is moved toward the inside of the first frame 77, thereby deforming the first frame 77.

  • Publication number: 20080188301
Abstract: A game device stores data of news information related to a plurality of news locations on a map. The game device divides the news locations into groups, and sets a determination region for each group. Further, the game device receives an input of designating a position in a display region from the user. When the designated position is within a determination region, news information related to one or more news locations included in a group corresponding to the determination region is displayed on a display device.

  • Patent number: 7316617
Abstract: A first game image of a displayed region of a game space which contains all player characters is created, and a second image is created by zooming in, when a player has performed a specific operation on an operation means, on a surrounding region of a player character controlled by the player. When the specific operation of the operation means has not been performed by any player, the first image is output as a game image, and when the specific operation of the operation means has been performed, the second image is superimposed on the first image as an output game image.

  • Patent number: 7173618
Abstract: A character object 2001 which stands on a ground in a virtual space is arranged to rise on a land object 1802. Here, the character object 2001 is arranged to look towards a side of a virtual camera 1601. Further, the land object 1802 is arranged so as to be displaced a predetermined distance from its original position along a direction of the orientation of the virtual camera 1601 and in a direction away from the virtual camera 1601. This prevents a character arranged on a ground in a 3D virtual space from being displayed as if a part of the character sank into the ground.

  • Patent number: 6923722
Abstract: A game system with a high entertainment value, in which a plurality of player character are played by a plurality of players, and a game program for such a game system are provided. A plurality of individual displays provided to players and a common display commonly provided to all players are provided. Each player character is moved between a first game map and a second game map upon satisfaction of a predetermined condition. A player character located on the first game map and at least a part of the first game map are displayed on the common display. A player character located on the second game map and at least a part of the second game map are displayed on an individual display provided to a player operating that player character.

  • Publication number: 20050020362
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a game system that causes a three-dimensional virtual game space 71 to be displayed on a display device in the direction of a predetermined line of sight. The three-dimensional virtual game space 71 has a plurality of objects appearing therein. After the direction of the line of sight is set, a frame setting plane 76 is set in the three-dimensional game space. Next, a frame coordinate value indicative of a position of each selected object projected on the frame setting plane is calculated. Based on the frame coordinate value, a frame is set. The frame is virtually set on the frame setting plane 76 so that all positions indicated by the frame coordinate values of the selected objects are located inside of the frame. Based on this frame, a display area to be displayed on the display device is determined.
