    Abstract: This invention concerns a light wave distance meter which comprises a telescope unit supported on a framework such that the unit can rotate about a horizontal axis. This unit being provided with a telescope having a target in its line of sight, with an analog photoemitter which directs modulated light emitted by an optical device at the target, and with an analog photodetector which receives modulated light reflected from said target so as to measure the distance to said target.
