  • Patent number: 8344781
Abstract: To provide a power amplification device that can amplify an input signal having an envelope variation with high power-added efficiency in a wide frequency range, and a transmission device and a communication device using the power amplification device. A first orthogonal signal (Sd1) is generated by performing vector subtraction between first and second fundamental signals (Su1 and Su2) having the same amplitude and a phase difference ?? (0 degrees<??<180 degrees) therebetween. First and second fundamental signals are generated based on an input signal (Sin). A second orthogonal signal (Sd2) is generated by performing vector addition between the first and second fundamental signals (Su1 and Su2). First and second constant envelope signals (S1 and S2) are generated by performing vector addition between the second fundamental signal (Su2) and first and second constant envelope vector generation signals (e and ?e) obtained based on the first fundamental signal (Su1).

  • Patent number: 7392706
Abstract: A sensor substrate 1 having on its lower surface a surface acoustic wave element 2 for detecting pressure is mounted on a supporting substrate 6 through a sealing member 4 surrounding a sensor section 2. A sealing space S is formed by the sensor substrate 1, the supporting substrate 6, and the sealing member 4, and the surface acoustic wave element 2 for detecting pressure is sealed hermetically in the sealing space S. Reliability can be enhanced by protecting the surface acoustic wave element 2 from the external environment.

  • Patent number: 7301255
Abstract: In a surface acoustic wave element 10, in which IDT electrodes 31 and 32, a grounding electrode 37, etc. are formed one main surface of a piezoelectric substrate 20, resistors 40 made of a semiconductor are provided to connection electrodes 38 that interconnect the respective electrodes. By forcing the charges generated in the IDT electrodes to move via the resistors 40, it is possible to provide a compact, highly reliable surface acoustic wave apparatus capable of preventing an electrostatic discharge damage in the IDT electrodes.

  • Patent number: 6566981
Abstract: A surface acoustic wave device has: input external terminals, output external terminals and ground external terminals disposed on the outer peripheral surfaces of a container. In a cavity portion of the container, input pads, output pads and ground pads are respectively electrically connected to the input external terminals, the output external terminals and the ground external terminals. A plurality of SAW filter elements are housed in the cavity portion. A plurality of ground conductor films are respectively formed in areas where the SAW filter elements are respectively housed. The input, output and ground electrodes of the SAW filter elements are respectively connected to the input, the output and the ground pads. A metallic lid hermetically seals the cavity portion. Only one SAW filter element is connected to the same ground pad. All the round conductor films on which the SAW Liter elements are mounted are electrically separated from one another.
