  • Patent number: 7593006
Abstract: In the case where the operator is moving the cursor on the computer screen through the use of a mouse, when the cursor display moves to a position which coincides with any of the menu display, a boundary position of the menu display or a position which coincides with the icon display, pressure sensing power generating means within the mouse is actuated to give a shock force or the like to the operator. This enables the operator to recognize the grasp in the operating state by not only visual judgment but also by hand.

  • Patent number: 6872934
Abstract: In a detector apparatus, voltage signals of phase A and phase B are mixed, the mixed signal is divided to obtain a low-voltage signal, and the low-voltage signal is integrally smoothed. The integrally smoothed low-voltage signal is added to each of the voltages obtained by smoothing the voltage signals of the phase A and phase B. The results are used as threshold voltages of comparators constituting a wave-shaping circuit. The threshold voltages change in accordance with the voltage signals of phase A and phase B, achieving a high accuracy of binarization even when the voltage signals Sa and Sb have variations.

  • Patent number: 6697050
Abstract: A mouse with a wheel, including a gear coaxially mounted to a rotary shaft of the wheel; a rocking member in which rocking arms extend from both sides thereof with a rocking shaft formed parallel to the rotary shaft as a center; a pawl member mounted to the rocking member and biased so as to engage the gear; and contact switches disposed at locations that allow them to contact the respective rocking arms, in which when one side of the rocking member rocks, a counter circuit at a side of the corresponding rocking arm is brought into a electrical conduction. The mouse has a non-photo- and simple structure.

  • Patent number: 6216188
Abstract: With a control section implemented by software, which is provided for a personal computer, when a device is added, a device driver dedicated to the device starts running. When a device is removed, the corresponding device driver is released. Since a control apparatus is used which includes the personal computer provided with the control section, a wireless device, and a universal serial bus (USB) controller for transferring data to and from the device, the device can be used immediately after it is disposed at a predetermined location.

  • Patent number: 6205502
Abstract: A USB controller is provided between a personal computer main unit and various devices. By providing the USB controller with a switch part for temporarily cutting a current flowing between the USB controller and the personal computer main unit, the circuit is connected or interrupted. With the configuration, when a new device is connected, by sequentially turning on and off a switch in the switch part, an operation similar to pull-out and insertion of a connector or resetting of a system can be executed, so that the newly connected device can be made usable immediately.

  • Patent number: 5929834
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device with a tablet reduced in apparatus thickness and enhanced in display visibility. The liquid crystal display device mainly composed of a liquid crystal display upper glass plate, a liquid crystal, and a liquid crystal display lower glass plate is connected with a tablet on the upper glass plate, the tablet being mainly composed of a film having a first transparent electrode. A second transparent electrode arranged on the upper glass plate is made function as both an electrostatic capacity detecting electrode and a display electrode. Namely, display is made by the second transparent electrode and a third transparent electrode and a coordinate on the tablet is detected by the first transparent electrode and the second transparent electrode.
