  • Patent number: 6117589
Abstract: A lithium battery and method for manufacturing the lithium battery are provided. The battery includes electrodes formed of a layer of an active material, the active material being capable of occluding and discharging lithium electrochemically, provided on the surface of a current collector, electrode external terminals for providing electricity to the outside of the battery, and an electrode tab joined at an end thereof to a surface of said current collector and at another end thereof to an electrode external terminal. The electrode tab has a roughened surface at the end joined to the current collector, and the roughened surface is welded to the surface of said current collector. The roughened surface is produced by chemical etching, abrasion by an abrasive, abrasion by ultrasonic waves or by blasting with an abrasive.

  • Patent number: 5426390
Abstract: In input transition detection pulse generators used in semiconductor memory devices, etc., in order to permit a designer to arbitrarily design the power supply voltage dependency of an output pulse width in accordance with use, a scheme is employed such that the functional block for detecting transition of an input or inputs to generate a pulse signal or signals, or the functional block for setting the width of each pulse signal is caused to have a function to generate pulse signals having different power supply voltage dependencies of pulse widths to perform a predetermined logical operation by a logical operation unit on the basis of pulse signals from the input transition detection pulse generation block or the pulse width setting block, thus to output a pulse having a pulse width optimum for a power supply voltage used.

  • Patent number: 5409676
Abstract: A heat transfer system comprising a hydrogen supply unit 1, which transfers hydrogen from a hydrogen recovery tube 8 to a hydrogen supply tube 7, and a multiplicity of hydrogen utilization units 2A and 2B which utilize hydrogen supplied from the hydrogen supply tube 7 via its branching tubes 7a and 7b, respectively, and return hydrogen to the hydrogen recovery tube 8 via associated branching tubes 8a and 8b. By the use of the hydrogen supply tube 7 and the hydrogen recovery tube 8 having large volumetric capacities and filled with hydrogen, the hydrogen supply unit 1 and the hydrogen utilization units 2A and 2B may operate independently, without being synchronized one other.

  • Patent number: 5182122
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus for stretch blow molding a preform into a hollow container having a heat-resistant property, including a heatable blow mold for forming the preform located therein into a hollow container by a biaxial stretching and blow molding process, and a heat setting mold for heat setting the hollow container. The apparatus includes a stretching rod for longitudinally stretching the preform when the stretching rod is forwardly moved in engagement with the inner bottom of the preform. The stretching rod has a cooling medium introducing tube centrally located therein with an outlet port adapted to introduce cooling medium into the interior of the hollow container. The cooling medium introducing tube is surrounded by thermal insulation.

  • Patent number: 5085822
Abstract: A method for stretch blow molding a preform into a hollow container having a heat-resistant property, including the steps of heat setting the hollow container by maintaining the hollow container heated for a predetermined period of time within a blow mold and cooling the hollow container by the use of a cooling medium blown out from the forward end of a stretching rod at least during backward movement of the stretching rod. If the heat setting operation is to be performed in a heat setting mold separately of the blow mold, the hollow container is cooled by the cooling medium blown out from the forward end of a cooling medium introducing rod while being moved. Since the cooling medium outlet is axially moved, the hollow container can be cooled uniformly, even if the hollow container has a particularly increased rate of longitudinal stretch.

  • Patent number: 4833847
Abstract: A flush mounting molding of the present invention has a strip-shaped head covering a channel formed between a window frame and a windshield glass of an automobile, and a leg, to be inserted and installed into the channel, having a window frame contacting lip and a windshield glass receiving lip and formed integrally and vertically on the bottom surface of the strip-shaped head. The window frame contacting lip is divided into a plurality of window frame contacting lip members by slits in the longitudinal direction thereof, and the length of the window frame contacting lip members is varied in the direction toward the window frame. Thus, some of the window frame contacting lip members contact with the window frame in approximately perpendicular manner. Accordingly, the flush mounting molding does not come out of the channel. Thus, no defective automobile assembly due to the come-out occurs, and the productivity of the automobile assembly is improved.
