Publication number: 20190315164Abstract: A pneumatic tire has a protrusion provided on a buttress portion. The protrusion includes a side wall protruding from a surface of the buttress portion, and a top wall provided at a distal end of the side wall. The side wall includes portions facing each other in a tire circumferential direction. Each of the portions is inclined in the tire circumferential direction such that a protrusion height that is a distance of the projection from the surface of the buttress portion gradually decreases from the top wall toward the surface of the buttress portion. An inclination angle of each of the portions in the tire circumferential direction to the surface of the buttress portion gradually decreases from the inside to the outside in the tire radial direction.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 28, 2019Publication date: October 17, 2019Applicant: TOYO TIRE CORPORATIONInventor: Kouichi Takita

Publication number: 20190315162Abstract: A pneumatic tire has a protrusion provided on a buttress portion. The protrusion includes a side wall protruding from a surface of the buttress portion, and a top wall provided at a distal end of the side wall. At least one of a pair of portions included in the side wall and facing each other in a tire circumferential direction constitutes a protruding curve as viewed in a tire width direction.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 28, 2019Publication date: October 17, 2019Applicant: TOYO TIRE CORPORATIONInventor: Kouichi Takita

Publication number: 20190315163Abstract: A pneumatic tire has a protrusion provided on a buttress portion. The protrusion includes a side wall protruding from a surface of the buttress portion, and a top wall provided at a distal end of the side wall. The top wall is inclined in the tire circumferential direction such that a protrusion height, which is a distance of the protrusion from the surface of the buttress portion, decreases from one side to the other side in the tire circumferential direction.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 28, 2019Publication date: October 17, 2019Applicant: TOYO TIRE CORPORATIONInventor: Kouichi Takita

Patent number: 10399389Abstract: The present invention provides a pneumatic tire having excellent traction performance and excellent non-uniform wear resistance. In the pneumatic tire, a plurality of blocks are formed by a plurality of main grooves extending in a tire circumferential direction and a plurality of transverse grooves extending in a tire width direction. A first block and a second block disposed adjacently to each other in the tire circumferential direction are formed as one set, and a surface area of the second block is set larger than a surface area of the first block. The second block is arranged so as to be displaced a position of the second block from a position of the first block toward the inside in the tire width direction.Type: GrantFiled: November 10, 2016Date of Patent: September 3, 2019Assignee: TOYO TIRE CORPORATIONInventor: Kouichi Takita

Publication number: 20180086153Abstract: A pneumatic tire has a pair of bead portions, side wall portions and a tread portion. An annular projections group in which plural kinds of projections having different volumes are arranged in a tire circumferential direction is formed on an outer surface of a buttress region of the side wall portion. On the assumption that a first projection is constructed by a projection having the smallest volume, and a second projection is constructed by a projection having the largest volume in the projections included in the annular projections group, a ratio V2/V1 goes beyond 1.00 and is less than 5.00, the ratio V2/V1 being a ratio of a volume V2 of the second projection in relation to a volume V1 of the first projection.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 20, 2017Publication date: March 29, 2018Applicant: TOYO TIRE & RUBBER CO., LTD.Inventor: Kouichi Takita

Publication number: 20180086154Abstract: A pneumatic tire has a pair of bead portions, side wall portions and a tread portion. An annular projections group in which plural kinds of projections having different volumes are arranged in a tire circumferential direction, is formed on an outer surface of a buttress region of the side vail portion. On the assumption that a virtual line is defined by connecting a maximum height position at the center in a width direction of a projection included in the annular projections group, and a maximum height position at the center in the width direction of another projection which is adjacent to the projection, an angle of inclination ? formed by the virtual line and an outer-surface in the buttress region of the side wall portion in a tire diametrical direction view goes beyond 3 degrees and is equal to or less than 13 degrees.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 27, 2017Publication date: March 29, 2018Applicant: TOYO TIRE & RUBBER CO., LTD.Inventor: Kouichi Takita

Publication number: 20170136822Abstract: A pneumatic tire includes a cap ply disposed between a belt layer and a tread portion so as to wholly cover the belt layer in a tire width direction, and two edge plies disposed between the belt layer and the tread portion so as to respectively cover edge portions of the belt layer in a tire width direction. A first region and a second region are formed by dividing the tread portion in two by a tire equator plane. The first region has a first void ratio, and the second region has a second void ratio smaller than the first void ratio.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 28, 2016Publication date: May 18, 2017Applicant: TOYO TIRE & RUBBER CO., LTD.Inventor: Kouichi Takita

Patent number: 5269824Abstract: A generally flat air filtering device for an optical disk drive is disclosed. As air is sucked into the disk drive via an inlet of a filter, a filter mat included in the filter removes dust and other impurities from the air. The purified air comes out of the outlet of a tube and then enters and cools an optical disk unit. The filter mat has a generally V-shaped section and, therefore, has a filtering area great enough to enhance efficient dust collection as well as the service life of the filter. To isolate the purified air from surrounding dust-containing air, an endless projection or rail is provided on the tube to bite into the filter mat which is flexible.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 1993Date of Patent: December 14, 1993Assignee: NEC CorporationInventor: Kouichi Takita
