  • Patent number: 11960673
Abstract: A display device including a substrate, a plurality of pixel electrodes arranged in a form of a matrix in a plane parallel with the substrate, a display functional layer exerting an image display function on a basis of an image signal supplied to the plurality of pixel electrodes, a driving electrode opposed to the plurality of pixel electrodes, and a plurality of detecting electrodes arranged in a form of a plane opposed to the driving electrode, separated and arranged at a pitch of a natural number multiple of an arrangement pitch of the pixel electrodes in one direction in the arrangement plane, and each capacitively coupled with the driving electrode.

  • Patent number: 7332201
Abstract: The present invention is to solve a problem that, conventionally, there is a risk of impurity elution when the optical retardation control layer obtainable by photopolymerization comes into contact with the liquid crystal layer because of the deterioration in heat resistance of the optical retardation control layer due to high temperature of post-process, the insufficient chemical resistance or the like. ?-amino alkylphenone based 2-methyl-1[4-(methylthio)phenyl]-2-morpholinopropane-1-one or 2-benzyl-2-dimethylamino-1-(4-morpholinophenyl)-butanone-1 are used as a photopolymerization initiator to be compounded in a composition for forming an optical retardation control layer or other optically functional layers.

  • Publication number: 20070211335
Abstract: According to the invention, the optical film is processed into circular shape as stated above. Thus, optical members with high versatility can be produced without being affected by the optical film-specific optical axis, and optical members that allows easy inventory control can be provided with no reduction in production efficiency. And a method of processing a long size optical film into a circular shape, subsequently processing the optical film processed into the circular shape into an arbitrary shape, also allows a fine tuning of its optical axis even after it is produced from the long size optical film, therefore, optical members with a high degree of flexibility in design and with high versatility can be provided.

  • Publication number: 20060292296
Abstract: A liquid crystal layer is formed on an alignment substrate 13 by the use of a photo-curing chiral nematic liquid crystal having cholesteric regularity, or the like, and liquid crystalline molecules in the liquid crystal layer are aligned by the alignment-regulating action of the alignment substrate 13. A predetermined amount of radiation 20 is applied to the liquid crystal layer formed on the alignment substrate 13 to three-dimensionally cross-link and cure the liquid crystal layer, thereby forming a cholesteric layer 12 in the semi-cured state. Thereafter, the semi-cured cholesteric layer 12 formed on the alignment substrate 13 is brought into contact with an organic solvent 21 under the specific conditions. There is thus finally obtained an optical element 10 comprising the cholesteric layer 12 formed on the alignment substrate 13.
