  • Patent number: 5061960
Abstract: A slit exposure type photocopier apparatus includes an original document platform on which an original document is to be located. An electrostatic latent image support member receives a projected image of the original document as a result of a scanning optical system and an exposure light source. The scanning optical system includes a projection light assembly which is movable along the optical axis in order to change image magnification. A light measuring sensor can be positioned adjacent a side of the projection lens assembly and can measure light reflected from the original at a position displaced, in the forward scan direction, from the actual position on the original that is being projected as a recorded image on the electrostatic latent image support member. The actual displaced position for light measurement will be a function of the image magnification and will be capable of compensating for the lag time involved in changing the exposure output of the exposure lamp.

  • Patent number: 4831418
Abstract: An exposure control device of a copying machine is provided with a white member at an end portion of an original document holding surface of a platen so as to prevent adhesion of toners to a top end portion of the copying paper. While a scanning optical system moves from the scan start point to the border between the original document and the white member, sufficient light quantity to prevent fogging of the image of the white member is supplied by the exposure lamp. The light quantity of the exposure lamp is changed to a suitable value corresponding to the original document in response to a signal for detecting the border.

  • Patent number: 4752802
Abstract: At least one developing unit of the magnetic brush type is disclosed opposite to an electrostatic latent image carrier, said developing unit having a developing sleeve in which is housed a magnetic roller having a weak-magnetic or non-magnetic portion. The developing unit also has drive means for rotating the magnetic roller and the developing sleeve a specified degree, whereby the magnetic roller is so rotated that its weak-magnetic or non-magnetic portion is allowed to pass a position opposite to a level regulating member, and whereby the developing sleeve is subsequently so rotated until its outer peripheral portion opposite to the weak-magnetic or non-magnetic portion reaches a position opposite to the electrostatic latent image carrier. Thus, a developing powder present on the outer periphery of the developing sleeve is shunted away from a developing zone on the outer periphery.

  • Patent number: 4483151
Abstract: This invention provides a freezer/refrigerator system which has a compressor driven by an engine of a vehicle to equally supply a refrigerant under pressure to a cooler unit and a freezer/refrigerator unit. An electromagnetic valve is disposed in a refrigerant inlet pipe of the cooler unit, while a constant-pressure expansion valve which is opened at a given pressure corresponding to a proper vaporizing temperature of the refrigerant is disposed at the refrigerant inlet pipe of the freezer/refrigerator unit. A control circuit supplies a control signal to the electromagnetic valve which is opened for 1 minute and closed for 15 seconds. The refrigerant is alternately supplied to the cooler unit and the freezer/refrigerator unit upon opening/closing of the constant-pressure expansion valve in accordance with changes in the pressure of the refrigerant.
