  • Patent number: 6124945
Abstract: A color image is scanned in the matrix direction by the number of colors calculating unit and the number (A) of colors of different full color pixel values is counted. In this instance, each time the number (A) of colors is counted up, a pallet forming unit sequentially stores the full color pixel values as representative colors into entries and forms a subtractive color pallet. When the number (A) of colors exceeds the number (n) of entries of the subtractive color pallet, a transfer format discriminating unit counts the number (N) of transfer pixels up to the end of one-preceding row and compares a transfer data amount by a full color format with a transfer data amount by a pallet format in the number (N) of transfer pixels, thereby allowing the data transfer by the color format of a smaller one of the transfer data amounts to be executed by a data transfer unit.

Abstract: A temperature control device is provided in a refrigerator having at least one compartment (RC or FC) defined by top, bottom and opposite side walls (TW; BW; and SW), and a heat insulating material (12) exteriorly encircling the compartment. One of the side walls (SW) has a mounting hole (2) defined therein and a front surface thereof confronts the compartment (RC or FC). The device includes a box-like console (C), and a circuit carrier board (3) fixedly connected to a rear surface of the console (C). Electric wiring (11) extends outwardly from the circuit carrier board, and a display panel (30) is disposed on a front surface of the console (C). At least one manipulatable temperature control element (31a, 31b, 31c: PB, LED) is mounted on the console (C), and a hat-like console casing (13) having a peripheral flange (10) is fixedly secured to the side wall (SW) in alignment with the mounting hole (2).

  • Patent number: 6091513
Abstract: A process discriminating unit allows an optimum converting process among a first magnification processing unit, a second magnification processing unit, a first reduction processing unit, a second reduction processing unit, and a third reduction processing unit to be executed on the basis of a conversion magnification (K), a resolution (D), and an image size. Particularly, each of the second magnification processing unit, first reduction processing unit, and second reduction processing unit magnifies an original image to a virtual image of a dot size obtained by magnifying a target image by 2 or 4 by an interpolation based on a simple repetition by a nearest neighborhood method and, after that, reduces to the target image in which the pixel value is obtained by averaging a plurality of pixels corresponding to one target pixel of the virtual image.

  • Patent number: 5762704
Abstract: A silicon single-crystal ingot which is nearly uniform in quality over the entire length of the column portion can be obtained to produce high-quality single-crystal silicon with high product yield and has the bottom column portion having the property close to the properties of the top column portion and the middle column portion. The bottom portion does not vary in shape among product lots and can be reproduced in the same shape. The diameter D2 of the bottom portion 2 is controlled in such a manner that the outer surface of the bottom portion 2a on the column portion side has an inclination angle .theta. of 10 to 25 degrees with respect to the outer surface of the column portion 1 and extends to the outer surface of the column portion.

  • Patent number: 5520453
Abstract: The present invention relates to a heat insulating door wall structure for use in a refrigerator or the like. By constituting the surface of the door with a colored glass plate or the like having a transparent layer at its front surface and a colored layer at its reverse surface, a deep luster is provided by the transparent glass plate located before the colored layer. Owing to high rigidity of the glass plate, undulations that may be formed on the front surface of the door by contraction of a heat insulating material filled through expansion or foaming, or by warping of the door due to temperature differences between the exterior and interior of the door are advantageously prevented. Moreover, by increasing the strength of the door, reinforcing members of the door can be dispensed with, for a simple construction and a reduction in cost.

  • Patent number: 5206010
Abstract: A composition for use in the oral cavity comprising granules composed of a water-insoluble powders and a water-insoluble organic binder; and which granules have an apparent density of from 0.1 to 1.5 and collapse at a deformation rate of from 0.1 to 20% at a load of from 0.1 to 50 g per granule. The granules of the composition have a proper hardness so that the presence of the granules can be felt when used in the oral cavity. The composition makes users feel the cleaning effect of the composition by the tactual sense, while giving a pleasant feeling to users. The composition is particularly suitable as a dentifrice.

  • Patent number: 5149521
Abstract: A composition for use in the oral cavity comprising (A) an easily breakable granule, (B) menthol and/or a natural substance containing menthol, and (C) a flavoring component such as basil, laurel, lavender or a lactone. Although the composition contains an easily breakable granule, which causes a powdery sensation characteristic of compositions containing granules, the present composition exhibits a greatly reduced powdery feeling, and gives a pleasant feeling to users. The composition is particularly suitable as a dentifrice.

  • Patent number: 4839654
Abstract: A system for detecting underground objects which uses reflected wave profile data collected for obtaining a detected image output and subjects the data to a sequence of synthetic aperture processing, in which set values of the dielectric constant are successively varied, and obtains the actual dielectric constant of the soil in which the targets are buried by evaluating the results of the synthetic aperture processing, whereby the need for special data collecting work only for obtaining the actual dielectric constant is eliminated.

  • Patent number: 4831383
Abstract: A system for detecting underground objects is disclosed wherein image data obtained through a deep range-migration correction and image data obtained through a shallow range-migration correction are combined so that data at the corresponding positions on both the image data at high level may mutually intensify, whereas other data may mutually weaken. The target spot on the thus combined image data is made sharp and provides sufficently high resolution.

  • Patent number: 4322768
Abstract: At each of terminal connected to a protected line section a current is sampled at an identical high sampling frequency, digitized, encoded and transmitted to an associated one of the terminals with the digitized data registered in a first buffer memory. Those processes are conducted under the control of respective clock pulses. Also a receiver receives similar data from the associated terminal. The received data are decoded and registered in a second buffer memory under the control of control signals from the receiver. A shift register successively receives the data from the first buffer memory and shifts them through it under the control of a shifting pulse to compensate for a known transmission delay between the data in the two buffer memories. The shift register and the second buffer memory write respective data into a processing unit in response to a writing pulse having a pulse width of a sampling pulse multiplied by an integer from the processing unit.
