  • Patent number: 8018695
Abstract: A control apparatus for controlling a fuel pump includes: an electronic switch provided in a circuit for connecting a power supply to a motor for driving the fuel pump; a current detector which detects a current which flows through the motor; and a controller which controls the electronic switch in a first PWM mode of a first frequency and a first duty ratio in a normal operation; and change a PWM mode to control the electronic switch in a second PWM mode of a second frequency lower than the first frequency and a second duty ratio lower than the first duty ratio when the current flowing through the motor exceeds a threshold current value in the normal operation.

  • Patent number: 6803749
Abstract: A power supply system includes: a high voltage power supply; a main power supply wire; a step down circuit inputting a power having a high voltage and outputting a power having a lowered voltage; a sub-power supply wire; a voltage sensor for sensing a voltage of the power outputted from the step down circuit; a sub-switching element disposed on the sub-power supply wire; and a controller for controlling the sub-switching element. The controller turns off the sub-switching element, when the voltage sensed with the voltage sensor is equal to or higher than a first predetermined voltage defined lower than the lowered voltage. Moreover, the controller drives the sub-switching element in duty control for stepping down the power having the high voltage to the power having the lowered voltage outputted from the step down circuit, when the voltage sensed with the voltage sensor is lower than the first predetermined voltage.

  • Patent number: 6647939
Abstract: A vehicle engine starting system that drives a starter motor engaged to start an engine by using a lithium secondary battery as a power source comprises a voltage sensor that detects a voltage at the secondary battery and a control device that allows power to be discharged from the secondary battery to the starter motor if the voltage at the secondary battery detected by the voltage sensor is equal to or higher than a predetermined value and disallows a discharge from the secondary battery to the starter motor if the voltage at the secondary battery detected by the voltage sensor is lower than the predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 5927536
Abstract: A metal easy open can lid, and a process for producing the same, wherein the can openability is improved and the occurrence of defects in the resin film at the time of shaping is eliminated whereby repair coating of the inner and outer surfaces are made unnecessary by making the cross-sectional shape of the opening guide groove of the easy open can lid an S-shape are provided, wherein, when forming the opening piece for easy manual opening in the metal lid, the properties of the resin film on the metal sheet, the shape and dimensions of the shoulder portions of the punch and die, the clearance, the residual thickness of the opening guide groove, the degree of the push-back processing, etc. are specified so as to achieve a superior can openability without breakage of the resin film by forming an opening guide groove with an S-shaped cross-section.
