  • Patent number: 7371798
Abstract: A thermoplastic water-curable composition which is excellent in mechanical properties, heat resistance, dimensional stability, and moldability and from which a mechanical part of a complicated shape can be produced: a molding formed from the thermoplastic water-curable composition; and a process for producing the molding. The thermoplastic water-curable composition comprises: a thermoplastic resin which upon contact with water undergoes a cross-linking reaction and thus comes to have a high molecular weight, desirably one having silane groups in inner parts thereof and a water-curable composition, the amount of water-curable composition being desirably 200 to 700 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the resin The molding is formed from the thermoplastic water-curable composition. The process comprises molding the thermoplastic water-curable composition into a given shape and then bringing the molding into contact with water to age and cure it.

  • Patent number: 6768089
Abstract: A microwave continuous heating apparatus is provided with a heating compartment having openings at its front and rear portions and a transfer device which carries a to-be-heated object held thereon through the heating compartment, and microwave electric power is irradiated onto the to-be-heated object that passes through the heating compartment to heat the same. Two microwave absorbing compartments, through which the to-be-heated object passes, are connected to the front and the rear portions of the heating compartment, respectively. A plurality of reflecting plates of metal which are spaced from each other in a forward-and-backward direction are transferred by the transfer device. The object to be heated is placed between two adjacent reflecting plates. The reflecting plates are placed on the transfer device so that at least one reflecting plate is positioned in each microwave absorbing compartment, at least during irradiation of microwaves into the heating compartment.

  • Publication number: 20030057204
Abstract: The invention provides microwave continuous heating equipment that does not need redesigning even when workpiece size or length is changed, and that can perform efficient heat treatment by continuously radiating microwave power while preventing leakage of the microwave power. The microwave continuous heating equipment comprises a heating chamber 11, microwave absorbing chambers 13 and 14 connected to the front and rear ends, respectively, of the heating chamber, and transport equipment 15 for transporting workpieces thereon through the front-end microwave absorbing chamber 13, the heating chamber 11, and the rear-end microwave absorbing chamber 14 in the order state. Each of the microwave absorbing chambers 13 and 14 includes a workpiece transport path 13a, 14a having a meandering shape to prevent the microwave power from passing straight through an opening 13b, 14b at one end and an opening 13c, 14c, at the other end.

  • Patent number: 6325526
Abstract: Automotive internal lights have a molded housing defining an elongate recess and bus bars which integrally include lamp holders secured within the molded housing and adapted to hold a lamp therebetween. The lamp holders have a base exposed to irradiate heat from said lamp. Connector terminals and an earth terminal are secured within said molded housing. The bus bars also integrally have spaced-apart fixed contacts secured within the molded housing so as to establish respective surfaces flush with the housing but exposed to said elongate recess. A slide switch is moveable longitudinally within the recess between at least first and second positions, and carries a generally U-shaped movable contact member which is adapted to contact the exposed surfaces of the fixed contacts so as to turn the lamp held by the lamp holder on and off, respectively. The housing includes notches formed in the recess opposite to the exposed surfaces of the fixed contacts.

  • Patent number: 6273593
Abstract: Automotive lighting systems include a casing which defines an interior space and a pair of shafts extending thereacross so as to establish adjacent first and second interior space regions. Lamps are positioned in respective ones of these adjacent first and second interior space regions and are covered by a respective pair of lenses. Each lens has proximal and distal ends and is connected pivotally at the proximal end thereof to a respective one of the shafts to allow for independent pivotal movements of the distal end between inoperative and operative positions. Push switches are operatively connected to respective ones of the lamps and positioned in respective ones of the first and second interior space regions in such a manner that the distal ends of each lens is in contact with a respective push switch. In such a manner, the push switches may be operated in response to the pivotal movements of the lenses between its inoperative and operative positions to thereby illuminate the lamps.

  • Patent number: 6093899
Abstract: An automotive waterproof switch has a flange member integral to the switch. A screw is used to attach the switch to a car body. A protective cap is attached to the circumference of the flange member to cover the switch and the screw. There is an opening in the cap above the screw to access the screw for assembly. The edges of the opening comprise thin portions that are of a smaller diameter than the screw and retain the screw prior to final assembly.
