  • Patent number: 8639751
Abstract: When license information is transferred between a server machine and a client machine, an identifier which is unique to a series of communication sequences is provided. The identifier is sent when a communication is performed between the two machines, as well as when the license information is updated. Therefore, when a message for transferring the license information is received by the use of the same identifier, a response message is returned without updating the license information.

  • Publication number: 20130266839
Abstract: A thermal conductive mechanism for a battery pack made up of a stack of a plurality of sub-battery modules each of which includes a plurality of battery cells arrayed thereon. The sub-battery modules each has opposed major surfaces and are laid to overlap each other in a direction perpendicular to the major surfaces. The thermal conductive mechanism is equipped with plates provided one for each of the sub-battery modules. Each of the plates has a given number of the battery cells disposed thereon and also has heat transfer surfaces extending in a planar direction of the plate. The heat transfer surfaces are placed in one of direct and indirect contact with the given number of the battery cells to achieve transfer of heat therebetween, thereby equalizing the temperature in each of the battery cells and also minimizing a difference in temperature among the battery cells.

  • Patent number: 8533196
Abstract: An information processing device that attaches common accompanying data to a content group composed of contents. The information processing device acquires the contents, acquires one or more characteristics of each acquired content and searches among reference data items in order to acquire one or more reference data items that each include any of the one or more characteristics, each reference data item having attached thereto at least one attribute used for identifying the reference data item, the reference data items being data other than the contents. The information processing device then specifies, among the attributes attached to the acquired one or more reference data items, an attribute that also pertains to the contents, uses the specified attribute as an attribute for identifying each of the contents, and attaches the specified attribute to each of the contents.

  • Patent number: 8010688
Abstract: A content distribution system distributes a content key and content use conditions for controlling a content use in a client apparatus to the client apparatus, via a communication channel, from either a multicast distribution server or a unicast distribution server. A content distribution management server determines by which distribution method to send the content key and content use conditions of each content according to an attribute of the content (a compression format, a compression ratio, a content holder, and the like). An encrypted content distribution server distributes only encrypted content whose content key and content use conditions are to be distributed by the unicast, and the multicast distribution server distributes encrypted content whose content key and content use conditions are superimposed by the multicast.
