Patent number: 7456986Abstract: When a request for a change in output information and output order of, or cancellation of an output process of, image data obtained from computers 3 is made by a user, a print server apparatus 1 notifies other users of requested change content and obtains from each user an instruction indicating whether to permit a change process based on the notified change content or not. With this image processing apparatus, when a plurality of users make requests for output processes of respective image data and a change in output order of each image data or the like is requested, other users can confirm the change content and get to other work appropriately so as to enhance the work efficiency.Type: GrantFiled: April 17, 2003Date of Patent: November 25, 2008Assignee: Sharp Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Takeshi Muto, Kouji Miyake, Kazuhiro Mizude

Publication number: 20080247079Abstract: Embodiments in accordance with the present invention reduce the number of errors caused by the aged deterioration of a heater for adjusting the clearance between a head and a disk. According to one embodiment, a thermal fly height control (TFC) controller executes the measurement of a resistance value of a heater in a predetermined timing. The TFC controller judges whether or not the measured resistance value falls within a predetermined reference range. If the measured resistance value falls within the reference range, the processing ends without performing any other processing. If the measured resistance value goes out of the reference range, the TFC controller executes error handling processing in response to a resistance failure. As one of the error handling processing, the TFC controller notifies the host that the abnormality (resistance failure) has been detected in the resistance value of the TFC heater.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 25, 2007Publication date: October 9, 2008Applicant: Hitachi Global Storage Technologies Netherlands B.V.Inventors: Noriaki Satoh, Toyomi Ohsawa, Yumi Nagano, Kouji Miyake, Yoshiaki Uji, Masayuki Kurita

Patent number: 7391334Abstract: A connection checking system of the present invention is arranged so as to apply a power supply voltage which is dropped by the resistance to a terminal when the control substrate and the unit are connected. Then, the control section determines that the unit is connected to the control substrate when the dropped voltage is applied to the terminal. On the other hand, when a dropped voltage is not applied to the terminal, the control section determines that the unit is not connected to the control substrate. The connection checking system of the present invention can be realized by using a conventional power supply cable, a signal cable and a terminal, and thus the connection checking system of the present invention can be manufactured at low costs.Type: GrantFiled: August 17, 2005Date of Patent: June 24, 2008Assignee: Sharp Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Kouji Miyake, Hiroshi Ishii, Hideyuki Hiro, Kenji Tanaka

Publication number: 20080055252Abstract: To provide an operation panel apparatus which can be used without exchanging the whole operation panel, even when input of a part of an input apparatus cannot be performed. In a test mode, a plurality of fixed keys 7 are in sequence checked on whether or not the input of the plurality of fixed keys 7 can be performed. A detecting portion 18 judges the fixed key as an input-enabled fixed key 7a by detecting that the input from the fixed key 7 is sensed, and judges the fixed key as an input-disabled fixed key 7b by detecting that the input from the fixed key 7 is not sensed. When the input-disabled fixed key 7b exists, a substitute control portion 19 displays a touch key 5a substituting for the function of the input-disabled fixed key 7b in a display screen.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 31, 2007Publication date: March 6, 2008Inventors: Kouji Miyake, Tsutomu Yoshimoto, Hideyuki Hiro

Patent number: 6634715Abstract: A headrest device includes a stay member having a pair of vertical supporting bars adapted to be supported on a seat back of a vehicle seat and a horizontal supporting bar connecting the pair of vertical supporting bars, and a frame member having a connecting portion rotatably mounted on the horizontal supporting bar with a friction force existing between the horizontal supporting bar and the frame member. The frame member is provided with a slit extending along the connecting portion of the frame member and having ends extending towards the connecting portion. The portion of the frame defined by the slit can be resiliently deformed in the peripheral direction of the horizontal supporting bar and serve as a fulcrum point for adjusting the strength of the rotational friction force of the connecting portion.Type: GrantFiled: February 23, 2001Date of Patent: October 21, 2003Assignee: Aisin Seiki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Hidetoshi Nakane, Kouji Miyake, Nobuhiko Takeda

Patent number: 6499803Abstract: A lumbar support device for adjusting the position of the portion of the seating surface of a seat back corresponding to an occupant's lumbar region includes a frame member, a plane spring body provided with linear spring elements and supported on the frame member by hanger springs, and an adjusting mechanism for adjusting the position of the plane spring body. The adjusting mechanism adjusts the plane spring body position via torsion springs which has a relatively large spring constant. The load associated with the occupant's weight is shared by the hanger springs and the torsion springs. The linear spring elements corresponding to the occupant's lumbar region can be extended by a small outward shift or movement of the plane spring body. Therefore, this lumbar support device imparts a good supporting feeling to the occupant.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2001Date of Patent: December 31, 2002Assignee: Aisin Seiki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Hidetoshi Nakane, Shingo Fujiwara, Kouji Miyake
