  • Publication number: 20070285295
Abstract: There is provided a new signal processing device that uses functions appropriate to signal properties to acquire high-quality signals. The signal processing device includes a sampling circuit 2 that samples an input signal and outputs a discrete signal, multiple function generators 3 that generate multiple sampling functions with parameters m different from each other, plural inner product operating units 4 for each of the parameters m that take an inner product between the input signal and each of plural sampling functions and output an inner product operating value, and a judging unit 8 that determines parameter m providing a minimum error out of multiple errors composed of differences between the sampling value and inner product operating values output from the multiple inner product operating units and outputs the parameter m signal. The signal processing device outputs a discrete signal composed of a string of the sampling values and the parameter m signal.

  • Patent number: 6304152
Abstract: The Colpitts circuit is configured so that an equivalent capacitance of the voltage-dividing first and second capacitors connected in series through the output of the transistor amplifier is variable under the condition that the ratio of the capacitance of the first capacitor to that of the second capacitor is kept unchanged at a prescribed value. The first and second capacitors are, as a whole, configured as a matrix of elemental capacitors with 2 rows and a plural number n of columns, an array of the elemental capacitors in the first row being allotted to the first capacitor and an array of the elemental capacitors in the second row being allotted to the second capacitor. Two elemental capacitors in each column j (j=1, 2, . . . n) are connected in series and the ratio of the capacitance of the elemental capacitor corresponding to the 1j element of the matrix to the capacitance of the elemental capacitor corresponding to the 2j element has the prescribed value.

  • Publication number: 20010004141
Abstract: A vibration isolator includes an upper coupling member to be mounted on a vibrating body, a cup-shaped holder to be mounted on a car body, and a rubber-like insulator which is located between the upper coupling member and the cup-shaped holder to isolate vibrations from the vibrating body. The vibration isolator further includes a main chamber and a subchamber, which are arranged in series with the insulator and in which a liquid, an incompressive fluid, is enclosed, an annular orifice interconnecting the main chamber and the subchamber, a partition member dividing the main chamber and the subchamber, a diaphragm which is made of a rubber membrane-like member and defines a part of the subchamber, and an air chamber formed below the diaphragm. Both the partition member and the diaphragm are entirely formed of rubber-like elastic bodies. This provides a large area for the central flexible portion of the partition member, reducing the manufacturing costs of the parts including the diaphragm.

  • Patent number: 5313602
Abstract: A multiprocessor system includes a plurality of processors for decoding and executing instructions, a main storage, and a plurality of buffer storages for storing copies of data stored in the main storage, wherein transfer of blocks of data is performed among the plurality of buffer storages. When data required by a given one of the processors is absent from the nearby buffer storage, a block address at which the data block including the required data is located and an intra-block address at which the required data is located in the data block are sent out to another buffer storage, where decision is made on the basis of the intra-block address as to which data is required by the processor requiring the data, whereupon the required data is transferred to the nearby buffer storage of the processor with priority over the transfer of other data in the data block including the data to be transferred.

  • Patent number: 5304890
Abstract: A cathode ray tube has a metal funnel welded to a metal skirt. The skirt is reinforced to resist tensile stress. Reinforcement is accomplished by thickening the skirt, or corner portions thereof; by welding one or more reinforcing members to the inside or outside of the skirt; by bending the edges of the skirt and funnel and welding the bent parts together; by welding reinforcing plates to corners of the skirt and winding a tension band around the skirt; or by providing a rigid frame with compression members to press inward on the skirt.

The high-pressure sealing device includes an annular groove formed on the inner surface of the housing, a seal ring with an L-shaped section housed in the annular groove, and an elastomeric O-ring disposed on the outer periphery side of the seal ring. The seal ring is composed of a thin wall portion, situated on the high-pressure side, and a thick wall portion situated on the low-pressure-side. The inner peripheral surface of the thick wall portion is in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the rod. A gap, which is wide enough to receive the hydraulic fluid, is defined between the inner peripheral surface of the thin wall portion and the outer peripheral surface of the rod. A drain recovery hole is connected between the high- and low-pressure sealing devices.

  • Patent number: 4733352
Abstract: In a lock control for a shared storage, each storage controller (SC) includes circuitry (LKA) for holding the addresses locked by any of the storage utilizing units connected thereto and circuitry (FLKA) for holding a copy of the contents of LKAs of the other SCs. When one storage utilizing unit connected to one SC issues a storage access request, its requested address is compared with the contents of the LKA and FLKA in the associated SC, thus determining whether or not the requested address is locked by any other storage utilizing unit connected to that particular SC or by any of the storage utilizing units connected to the other SCs. Each storage utilizing unit may include a FLKA.
