  • Patent number: 8991476
Abstract: An objective of the present invention is to store heat into a thermal storing material using a plurality of thermal transport mediums, in a thermal storage device utilizing natural convection of a thermal storage material resulting from temperature difference of the thermal storage material. The thermal storage device of the invention has a plurality of thermal transport mediums 6a and 6b having different temperatures, a thermal storage material 2 which stores heat of the thermal transport mediums 6a and 6b or whose heat is drawn by the thermal transport mediums 6a and 6b, a thermal storage portion 1 accommodating the thermal storage material 2, and a first and a second thermal storage tanks 3 and 4 formed by dividing an inner space of the thermal storage portion 1, and a thermal exchange between the thermal transport medium 6a or 6b and the thermal storage material 2 takes place in the individual thermal storage tanks.

  • Publication number: 20110180242
Abstract: The heat exchanger performance of a stack type heat exchanger used as an aircraft engine oil cooler or the like is increased. U-turn type layered hot fluid passages having corrugated fins and U-turn type layered cold fluid passages having corrugated fins are alternately stacked to configure a stacked core. Mixing headers are provided to both side surfaces of the stacked core so as to pass a hot fluid which circulates on a first half side and a return path side through the mixing headers outside of the stacked core. The mixing headers mix the hot fluid which circulates in the inside portion of the U-turn passage and the hot fluid which circulates in the outside portion thereof. The hot fluids are mixed between the plural stacked hot fluid passages. The temperature distribution of the hot fluid in the first half and in the passage width direction is made uniform.

  • Publication number: 20100319893
Abstract: In a heat exchange device, a plate-shaped tube (4) in which a plurality of channels (10) through which a first or second thermal medium (2), (3) flows are formed is disposed in a thermal storage material (5) that exchanges heat with the first or second thermal medium (2), (3), and the plate-shaped tube (4) is formed by joining two plates into a laminated form. Each plate has a plurality of elongated projections (8A, 9A) that protrude away from the mating faces of the plates and have hollows formed therein, and a plurality of flat portions (8B, 9B) between the projections. Openings of the hollows formed in one of the plates are closed by the corresponding flat portions of the other plate so that the hollows provide the channels.

  • Publication number: 20100000707
Abstract: A thermal storage device having a plurality of tube-like first thermal medium branch pipes (5) into which a first thermal medium (3) flows and a thermal storage material (1) provided on the outer peripheries of the first thermal medium branch pipes (5) is characterized by including a first header (6) that communicates with the upper portions of the first thermal medium branch pipes (5) and allows the first thermal medium (3) to flow therethrough, a first upper reservoir (7) that communicates with the first header (6) and stores the first thermal medium (3), and a first inlet (8) that communicates with the first upper reservoir (7) and allows the first thermal medium (3) to flow therethrough. The first upper reservoir (7) is formed in a direction intersecting with the direction of streamline of the first inlet (8).
