  • Publication number: 20060123505
Abstract: Full-length cDNAs of plants and their uses are provided. Source plants are preferably monocot plants, more preferably poaceous plants, and most preferably rice. Vectors carrying said cDNAs and transformants containing said cDNAs or said vectors, transgenic plants containing said transformants, polypeptides encoded by said cDNAs are also provided. The full-length cDNA clones play important roles in the annotation of correct gene coding region, determination of exons and introns, comprehensive expression analysis on the transcription level and proteome analysis. Furthermore, full-length cDNA clones are industrially useful in producing plants having different properties from those of the wild type due to the inhibition of expression and functional suppression in plant bodies.

  • Patent number: 6259961
Abstract: When a treatment process and an inspection process are continuous, in order to transfer a lot therebetween more simply and more reliably, in a conveying system comprising a depository storing lots each of which is one group of the same species, there is provided a plurality of treatment apparatuses for treating the lots; an inspection apparatus for inspecting the lots after treatment; an automated guided vehicle for conveying the lot by moving between the depository and the treatment apparatus; and a control computer which controls treatment processing of the lot, wherein a delivery device is disposed at an area adjacent to the inspection apparatus for conveying the lot in and out the automated guided vehicle so that a plurality of lots can be placed thereon simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 5051852
Abstract: A rotary magnetic head apparatus for use in a VTR and producing a low level of vibration by restraining the unbalance of an overall rotary body of the magnetic head apparatus. The apparatus includes a fixed cylinder for supporting a rotary shaft via bearings, a rotary cylinder secured to one end of the rotary shaft and having magnetic heads, and a motor rotor directly coupled with the other end of the rotary shaft. At least one first balancer and at least one second balancer are respectively provided in the rotary cylinder and the rotor so as to compensate for the unbalance of the rotary body composed of the rotary cylinder, the rotary shaft, and the rotor.
