  • Publication number: 20230256453
Abstract: Problems occur in a bead mill due to wear on a sealing member of a sealing device disposed on a contact portion between a rotating portion and slurry, and due to the adhesion of deposits on the sealing device. A bead mill device that stirs a mixture of slurry and beads in a vertical cylindrical container includes a slurry storage vessel disposed above the cylindrical container, and a slurry flow passage through which the slurry flows from the slurry storage vessel into the cylindrical container. A component that causes the slurry in the slurry flow passage to flow downward is disposed on a rotary shaft. Further, a component for suppressing the flow of the slurry is disposed in the slurry storage vessel. This structure obviates the need to dispose a mechanical sealing device on the rotary shaft.

  • Publication number: 20150204224
Abstract: A particulate filter for trapping particulate filter which is contained in exhaust gas is arranged in an engine exhaust passage. The particulate filter is provided with exhaust gas inflow passages and exhaust gas outflow passages which are alternately arranged via porous partition walls. Movement promoting control is performed to promote movement of the ash which deposits on the inner circumferences of the exhaust gas inflow passages to the rear parts of the exhaust gas inflow passages. The pressure loss of the particulate filter is detected. When the detected pressure loss is larger than a predetermined upper limit value, PM removal control is performed to remove the particulate matter from the particulate filter.

  • Patent number: 7173612
Abstract: An EL display device 1 includes a display portion 2 having unit pixels 10 arranged in a matrix, a source line driver circuit 6, and a gate line driver circuit 4. Each of the unit pixels 10 has an EL element 11, a switching transistor Tr1, a driver transistor Tr2, and an auxiliary capacitor 13. The auxiliary capacitor 13 has electrodes, one connected to a gate electrode of the transistor Tr2 and the other to a next gate line GL. The gate line driver circuit 4 outputs, via the next gate line GL, blanking signals for forcibly stopping a light-emitting state of the EL elements 11, within hold times in which the voltages written to the gate electrodes of the transistors Tr2 are held. With such a configuration, a blanking period where the EL elements do not emit light, is inserted in one frame.

  • Patent number: 7084848
Abstract: An active matrix liquid crystal display device has a plurality of unit pixels being arranged in a matrix configuration, each unit pixel being divided into a plurality of subpixels. Each of the subpixels has a subpixel electrode, a pixel transistor connected to the subpixel electrode, and a voltage controlling capacitor connected to the subpixel electrode. A voltage controlling capacitor line for supplying a compensation voltage signal is connected to the voltage controlling capacitor so that after the writing to the subpixel has been completed, the potential of the compensation voltage signal is varied to modulate the potential of the subpixel electrode to be a predetermined voltage, using the voltage controlling capacitor. Such combining of spatial dithering attained by a pixel-dividing technique and a capacitively-coupled driving method eliminates the need for digital-to-analog converter circuits, attains gray scale display based on a digital image signal, and achieves a reduction in power consumption.

  • Patent number: 5668432
Abstract: A moving member 2 is rotatably and slidably arranged in a holder 11 having a spherical inner surface 11a. An inertia body 5 is connected to the moving member 2 via a supporting member 4. At a location opposite the inertia body 5, an arm 3 extends so that it is directed outwardly via an opening of the holder. A piezo electric actuator 63 is arranged between the rotating member 2 and the supporting member 4. An elongation of the actuator causes a relative swing movement between the inertia body 5 and moving member to occur in one direction such that a reaction force in the moving member 2 due to the inertia of the inertia body 5 exceeds the frictional force between the moving member 4 and the holder 11, which allows the moving member 4 to be displaced with respect to the holder 11.

  • Patent number: 5421953
Abstract: Bodies of at least one material are held in a contacting holder 12 in a vacuum chamber. The surfaces of the bodies are cleaned by a low energy ion etching. Water vapor from a pure water bottle is supplied through a nozzle as a water molecule beam so that water molecules and hydroxide groups are chemically adsorbed on the surfaces of the bodies. A plasma beam or microwaves are applied to the surfaces of the bodies to remove the water molecules and leave only hydroxide groups remaining on the surfaces. The holder is operated to bring the surfaces of the bodies into contact with each other, to thereby obtain direct bonding of the bodies.
