  • Patent number: 8297324
Abstract: The present invention provides a pneumatic tire for a motorcycle, in which tire durability at a relatively high speed in running straight is enhanced with maintaining good gripping performances in cornering situation by optimizing the distribution of loss tangent in tread rubbers constituting a tread portion.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 14, 2007
Date of Patent: October 30, 2012
    Assignee: Bridgestone Corporation

  • Publication number: 20100089511
Abstract: The present invention provides a pneumatic tire for a motorcycle, in which stability in running straight at a relatively high speed and gripping properties in cornering are improved in a compatible manner. The pneumatic tire for a motorcycle includes slant belt layers 16L, 16U disposed on the outer side in the tire radial direction of a carcass 14 and a “0 degree” belt layer 18 disposed on the outer side in the tire radial direction of the slant belt layers 16L, 16U. The first belt layer 16L as the innermost belt layer in the tire radial direction, of the slant belt layers 16L, 16U, is constituted of three divided portions including two rows of first belt layer side portions 16LA, 16LB disposed on respective side portions in the tire widthwise direction and one row of a first belt layer center portion 16LC disposed at the center portion in the tire widthwise direction.

  • Publication number: 20100065181
Abstract: The present invention provides a pneumatic tire for a motorcycle, which tire is capable of improving both stability in running straight at a relatively high speed and gripping properties in cornering at the same time. The pneumatic tire for a motorcycle, comprises: a dual layered slant belt 16L, 16U constituted of two cord-crossing layers in which cords of respective layers cross each other, the slant belt being disposed on the outer side in the tire radial direction of a carcass 14; an outermost belt layer 20 of which a cord angle with respect to the tire equatorial plane is no smaller than 70 degrees; and a “0 degree” belt 18 provided between the outermost belt layer 20 and the dual layered slant belt and having cords extending substantially in the tire circumferential direction.

  • Patent number: 4938092
Abstract: A manually operated gear shift mechanism for a motorcycle, or the like, includes a cable-driven pulley system operative to move a clutch to alternate operative positions in a power transmission system. The cables are arranged such that one is in tension regardless of the direction of rotation of the pulleys. The handle for operating the pulleys carries a releasable locking mechanism operative to secure the pulleys and, concomitantly, the clutch in their respective operative positions.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 15, 1989
Date of Patent: July 3, 1990
Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki Kaisha
Inventors: Hideaki Nebu, Haruyasu Fujita, Kouichi Uchibaba, Kouji Terada, Takaaki Tada

  • Patent number: 4465856
Abstract: In a conventional process for the purification of crude methacrylamide by the recrystallization from an aqueous medium, pH of the aqueous methacrylamide solution is controlled to a value in alkaline range of at least 8 and then methacrylamide is crystallized out. As the alkali used for the pH control, there have been used alkali metal and alkaline earth metal carbonates and hydroxides. Methacrylamide to be recrystallized is crude methacrylamide obtained by neutralizing methacrylamide sulfate obtained from acetone cyanhydrin and sulfuric acid with ammonia in the presence of water.
